I am/was/ a physically fit 55 yr old man and in late October I had 3 weeks in Spain. The weather was 26-30C and I was in the sea everyday at 7.30am or running or cycling. A week later and I am back in dear old Blighty 14C, with the most painful left shoulder and arm. (I have pins in this from a cycling

Pain in my knees after walking
Since July 23 I've been reducing pred from 15mg to 11.5mg. I walk the dog every day for between 15 - 30 minutes. I excercise most days for aprox 15 mins. I have developed a problem whereby when I set of for a walk I'm quite fine, sometimes I have to push myself to get the legs working but on the whole

Painful Breast
I posted this some years ago on behalf on my wife: She has had a pain in the upper inner right quadrant of the breast for the last 2 years. When this first came up she had an appointment at our local hospital and received a bilateral mammogram and all was normal. There was no focal lesion seen. The

Scared to take Bisoprolol and scared of CT Angiogram
Back last year (Jan) I was having palpitations. GP referred to me cardiologist. I had phone consultation with cardiologist on 1st Dec (was supposed to be by Aug!) He said he's like me to wear a 2 week monitor which I'm absolutely fine with, though this could take months to get sent out to me. He also

Is this PMR or something else?
Since coming back from holiday in November I have had lower back pain and in the hips which is affecting how I walk. Initially I put it down to lifting the suitcases onto the luggage trolley. A chiropractic treatment helped but not as much as I expected. On Christmas Day it was particularly bad and then

Still trying to test……
Any advice please? I’ve been putting off my annual Medichecks for various reasons, looking for an optimal time to do it - ie, post colonoscopy, post covid jab, post Christmas. I’d hoped to do it tomorrow but I’ve had a massive flare up of shoulder pain ( severe arthritis, gung-ho personality, Christmas

Flare?
Hi,I'm posting on behalf of my mum, who was diagnosed with PMR at the end of October this year, after I took her to A & E. She told them she was certain she had PMR, but they were not convinced thinking she had osteoarthritis, until her blood results came back confirming PMR. It was in her thighs &

Treating muscle pain post zoledronic acid infusion
I had my first zoledronic acid infusion just over 24 hours ago. I was recommended to take some paracetamol before bed, which I did. I had some migraine associated visual disturbances just before I turned my light out, but slept through OK. This morning I developed a headache, so took more paracetamol

Not sure if this is heart related pain or muscular I had it 3 nights running laying in bed, had to take paracetamol, now it's disappeared worried

internal shingles
hi, I’ve been diagnosed with internal shingles and it’s the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I’m on my last day of Aciclovir, I’m taking paracetamol and codeine during the day and 3 amitriptyline at night, this has been going on for over a week. Is this normal? Any advice gladly accepted

Severe back pain
Hi fellow Lupies, There have been one or two posts about back pain which I was keen to read as I've just, at last, after long standing back problems for around 20 years, had some real investigation done. However, my main problem, spondylolistheses, has not been mentioned. This is a condition where the

hi can any one please tell me if this is a good result ? I am very worried I’ve damaged my liver from recent accidental staggered overdose over course of a month of paracetamol. I’m very worried about drug induced liver injury. My blood tests have been within normal range too but I just cannot stop worrying

Hi to all I have been reading your accounts and interactions online and my heart goes out to all. Your positivity, courage, challenges and despair at times are so very moving. So thank you for sharing and thank you to the administrators for supporting a platform which is obviously very much needed

Pain management Team
I have been waiting for 4 years to see someone in the pain management clinic at our local hospital. What a complete joke. When are the doctors and so called specialists going to help a patient who is in considerable pain and saying to him I want to cut my foot off. He was a complete waste of time, why
