Still in shock,
I feel like a bit of a fraud as I am electing not to have any more treatment, just
palliative
care
. I need peace now. Can anybody identify with any of the above?

Decision time. Input welcome
The third option is to pursue a
palliative
care
approach without initiation of new systemic treatment. The median survival for patients with metastatic castration resistant prostate adenocarcinoma is approximately 2 to 3 years."

Other experiences of late stage glioblastoma
He began hospice and
palliative
care
at home in mid-October and they didn’t think he would make Christmas. He has done really well but I am exhausted. The cancer is definitely taking hold of him now. He sleeps more and shows symptoms much of the time of dementia.

Trying to cope…
Dad hasn’t been as lucky and now lives in a
care
home, receiving
palliative
care
. I’m 24 and I haven’t got a clue how to deal with this.

They have told him that they can no longer do anything for him and they send him to
palliative
care
. If you know of any clinical trial please inform me. A hug. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1002255923489156

Rock on Cabazitaxel!!
We had our first visit from the
palliative
care
team two weeks ago. We were not feeling very optimistic (well, I wasn’t!) about the chances of the next treatment - cabazitaxel, commenced 3 weeks ago , doing much.

I'm feeling down today and wonder if all of this is worth it - maybe just resort to

Does Jevtana/carboplatin cross the blood-brain barrier?
I also had my bladder irradiated (
palliative
care
). So my new trial has been delayed since mid-March and my PSA doubling time is 3 weeks.

My latest very sad news
He was discharged from
care
at the hospital and began
palliative
care
at home. I was shocked and distressed at how rapidly he deteriorated and distraught at how much pain he was in. He lost the battle on the 14th December and died in my arms in our home.

Hello,I live in Bradenton Florida and go to Moffitt Cancer in Tampa
I am so glad that I did because the Supportive
Care
Group (
Palliative
) is so marvelous at Moffitt! I wish I had known about it right after my dual mastectomy in June I 2016.

Update on Brother
At a minimum we have tried to push for
Palliative
Care
and again he refuses. I worry about him as he live alone in a tiny camper and has fairly significant HE, and is at considerable risk of bleeding, has edema in his legs and not very mobile.

Stage 4 Prostate Cancer, Quadruple bypass, & now a brain tumor!
We started him on
palliative
care
. They suggested doing a biopsy and a surgery at the same time rather than just a biopsy and re-entering the brain another time. They were 95% sure it was glioblastoma. Initial results, however were inconclusive.
