Biopsy in intervention radiology

I'm 77 years old, was diagnosed with Stage 3c in February 2017. I went through 2 rounds of chemo - was on Zejula since 3-27-20, but my CA-125 steadily climbed to 377, so my Dr. discontinued it. I had a CT scan on 1-7-22 because I felt bloated most of the time, especially after eating. The scan showed ascites in the peritoneum, which explained it. Now I'm scheduled for a biopsy in intervention radiology on 2-1- 22. It's possible for them to find a bio marker called PDL1 - if it's high, I could possibly be a candidate for Keytruda. Anyone had a similar path? I'm feeling down today and wonder if all of this is worth it - maybe just resort to palliative care.

Keep fighting Lucy! I’ve heard good things about Keytruda. My oncologist said if I have a recurrence, he would put me on that. I was diagnosed with primary peritoneal and endometrial cancer in 2017. Still NED, after chemo, radiation, and surgery, but always nervous . Your are still young and a warrior. Keep us posted as to results from bio. Sending prayers and positive vibes.❤️

Lucy, do not resort to anything, fight , pray & have faith. Right now I am waiting to go on Zejula but I have no way to pay my astronomical copay, so I guess I won't be taken it.

There are some foundations that you may get help with the cost, and sometimes full coverage. GSK is the one I qualified for. Also I believe the PAN foundation has programs to help cover.
