It has now been a full year since I not only stopped my statin medication (Crestor 30 mg/day) but all cardiac medicines completely. The process of weaning took 10 months from January of 2016 to October of 2016. My bypass surgery was March of 2015. During the weaning period, I exercised daily and converted

Hi I have been trying to lose weight and have been unsuccessful in my attempts. My doc suggested lchf diet, if I could. But after going through articles I was wondering if this diet is ok for non diabetes. am a vegetarian no eggs, and main aim is to shed around 10 -15 kgs of extra weight

Rubbish -Leave liothyronine alone, Julie Woods and Simon Stevens should resign
Typically used for breakthrough pain in
palliative

, there is limited evidence of its superiority compared to morphine – even though it is much more expensive, NHSCC said. 3) Low priority for NHS funding Some gluten-free foods.

Lymphatic Reflexology
I've had reflexology before a few times and it was something i'd organise often for my darling Mum as part of her
palliative
care
at home. But this particular lady i'm seeing does lymphatic drainage techniques as well, which can do wonders for pretty much anyone, especially cancer patients.

The
palliative
care
team are going to get involved and we will just have to wait and see. It dosn't look great but there is still hope that she will be able to leave hospital. I just wish the doctors would have an honest conversation with her and then we can plan.

Nursing home woes
Meanwhile he sits in hospital, taking up a hospital bed in a less-than-ideal environment for someone in the
palliative
care
stage of the illness. I would have thought that nursing homes would be falling over themselves (no pun intended) to receive the guaranteed income from a CHC patient.

Hello all, I'm back from my beach holiday and yes I did go for scuba dive, first at 3.5metres depth in lagoon then at 10metres in open sea waters.. my pp blood sugar post dive remained at 125.. feeling great because all the time I was preparing myself to accept that nothing will be same as before diabetes

palliative care suggesting new meds
Dad's neurologist had him see
palliative
care
for evaluation, basically they said there is nothing medically they can do. The doctor in
palliative
care
was very nice, listened and appeared genuinely concerned but offered nothing really in the way of help.

He decided that he'd had NO quality of life since 2012 and opted for
palliative
care
for problems he developed during treatments - lymphedema, peripheral neuropathy, Parkinsonism, adrenal insufficiency - you name it, he had it.

Metastasize Melanoma
I am already on
palliative
care
and do not know if it normal routine . They say that they may just put me on the medication for 6 months. Is that the time they are giving me. I know melanoma in incurable but people are living over 10 years with it. Is it because it hasn't spread.

Palliative care - transition
I usually think of transition from primary to secondary school but I'm finding the transition to
palliative
care
hard as it's tough to leave the oncology team and get to know a new crowd. I'm wondering if there's a way it could be made easier.

We are living in Mexico where she has wonderful caretakers and is living in her own home but I am afraid she is going to need
