Slowly getting into and used to LCHF. Coconut... Good or bad?! And how to work out how much Protein you should have a day?! Advice needed.
Hi. I've been slowly for the last 2 weeks reducing my carbs, and increasing my healthy fats. I've cut out bread, and grains, breakfast cereal now. With starting to look at what new things i'm supposed to eat, and being vegan for a long time. I bought a vegan keto 30 day cook book arrived 2 days ago

Obstruction / blocked bowel - no surgery. Any advice - PLEASE
The surgeon is now saying they are going to refer us to
palliative
care
because they don’t think that oncology would do more chemo. We are still waiting for oncology to come back with anything - as always chasing, chasing. She finished chemo in September and has been on avastin since then.

A Simple inexpensive Blood test can Predict whether you carry a CV risk in future or/and you carry a risk of type 2 Diabetes/metabolic synd
I was interacting yesterday with one of my close Cardiologist Friend (we were school friends), he tells me that one simple blood test- least expensive which people don't do- can predict if you carry any CV risk or type 2 diabetic risk.. For an existing type-2 , it can predict to what extent the beta

Impact of family death on PSP
We are getting adult social services involved and I’ve asked for him to be moved to a
palliative
care
support team so that we can do more to manage his symptoms. I really feel like we’re running out of time but don’t know what else to do or how long we have with them.

Hi-Dad diagnosed with PSP
He needs
palliative
care
. As you guys are aware, PSP is quite rare and I am not sure how well equipped nurses are to deal with PSP patients.

My love - aka ‘Hazard’ - passed away on Monday night
Treatment was stopped four weeks ago and we managed to bring him home for the last week with the help of
palliative
care
, where he enjoyed seeing many visitors and listening to his beloved stereo. On Monday night at 6 pm he got terrible pain which wasn’t helped with ordine or sublingual fentanyl.

Mum suffered Brain Hypoxia 4 days ago. I feel So Lost And Confused
We all sit down, myself, my uncle and my auntie, he beings to tell us that my mum will never get any better, this is the state she will be in for the rest of her life and i should think about putting her into
palliative
care
and letting her die with dignity. I was like what?

IBS - Seems to have gone away since cutting out carbs and sugars....
I was just looking at this webpage, and wanted to share it: High FODMAP foods list: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/fodmaps-101#high-fodmap-foods But realized the best place to post it would be on the IBS forums, and then I thought momentarily about the fact that I have had zero IBS issues, since

My worries about CKD are now secondary
So I will be in
palliative
care
with radiation for pain as required. Basically the cause of death is that the bone cancer makes you increasingly anemic. So my message? I have spent almost 2 years constantly concerned about the CKD, what to eat, drink, exercise, and worrying. All for naught.

Why LDL cholesterol goes up on LCHF diet and is it bad for health?
Following LCHF diets raises HDL level, lowers triglyceride, lowers insulin and increases LDL cholesterol. While first three are considered beneficial, there is concern about high level of LDL cholesterol. The presentation below by Dr Nadir Ali, concludes we should celebrate high LDL level because it

Continued Doctor visits for 93 yr old mother?
We have gone for
palliative
care
with her skin cancer and we are looking into comfort care for her chf. I say we should stop her visits with her eye care. I have been her caregiver for over 7 yrs and we’ve made every 6 month visit for all these years.

I am rigidity- dominant PD ; My personal experience!
I am rigidity -dominant PD and like other PwPD my main issues arise when imbalances between Acetylcholine and Dopamine and other neurotransmitters occur. I think we are either Dopamine- dominant or Acetylcholine- dominant( my case) PD. 📍📍Note: The DaTSCAN image doesn't belong to me and that's for
