diagnosis help!!!
hi! I had my first specialist appointment recently and had another set of ultrasounds, and visual checks. They can not see anything visually wrong but mentioned the possibility of it being endometriosis due to symptoms but will not confirm this. Apparently the op (lap…) could make things worse? Due

Chemo side effects and opioid intolerance
Hi all. This is my first post. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer in September and have just had my first chemo. I have had chronic pains in my legs that normal painkillers haven't touched. I'm opioid intolerant but took codeine an hour after metoclopramide hoping this would work but sadly

been to see the gp
saw the gp who said it’s vulvodinia. I’ve never heard of that problem before. But reading up on it sounds like just the kind of pain I have. Nothing can be done. Just painkillers. Todays been awful 😢

so much pain.
I am in so much pain that I just don’t know what to do with myself. The pain is across the bottom of my back and stretching down into my hip has to be the worst I have ever had. I have just come home from hospital after 2weeks & the doctors said there is nothing more they can do for me except for painkillers

tight muscles
anyone suffer from tight abdominal, rectum, buttock and inner thigh / hamstring muscles? I have previously managed these on the assumption that it is pelvic floor dysfunction. Whilst the relevant exercises seemed to hold the pain and discomfort at bay for a while and enable bowel movements to relieve

My rheumy wants me off of prednisone as soon as possible
First of all, thanks to everyone who replied me, and gave me valuable advice on my previous post. This is an update. Previously, I mentioned that I wasn't happy with my first rheumy appointment as she thinks I don’t need steroids because my inflammation markers are in a normal range and this is not a

? To denerve or not to denerve?!
I’ve had preliminary local anaesthetic jabs, one side, (no steroid) in lower facet joints via
pain
management
clinic. This is to try to identify whether it would be valuable to try denervation.

My Knees
So….. I have been unable to walk let alone run since I developed knee pain almost 2 weeks ago after completing week 1. I am now at the point where I can reduce the painkillers although the pain is still there I can tolerate it and ‘hobble’ around. I am unsure if I should try the C25K again in a week

A little late
I haven't been able to draw or paint for months -- just no inspiration, and a lack of faith in my own abilities. This week I bought a blending stump (eh?) and produced the attached, which I call Nature Red in Tooth and Paw. Sorry it's late for Off Topic Friday. On the Care Community side of things,

nagging Headaches plus UTI
hi all Been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, doctor thinks is because of a shock (my husband was in hospital for 7 months and lost both his legs). My question is. Does anyone else have a slight nagging headache. Nothing that is a major pain, just a nagging headache which pain killers cannot move Also

Endometriosis?
I have had crippling ovulation pain since having a caesarian 11 years ago. My GP prescribed me laxido to edal.lwith the severe trapped wind pain and reluctantly referred me for a laparoscopy but when I attended the appointment it was way too painful and I couldn't go ahead with the procedure. I continued

progesterone pill - pain and bleeding
Hi I’ve been aware I’ve had endo since 2016 when I was 35 and starting to try for a baby. My left ovary had a large cyst on it that had to be surgically removed. Other than that I was told I had mild endo at that point. It the took me a further three years to conceive (two failed ivf’s) and I naturally

Pernicious anaemia?
I am a 60 year old male leading a healthy, low stress lifestyle. I have never had any medical conditions (apart from a bout of pancreatitis a couple of years ago) and never been on any medications apart from the occasional pain killer or dose of antibiotics. I exercise and meditate daily. I don't drink

I am new here - Extreme Anxiety over my various health conditions and managing them
I have had Fibromyalgia and Sjogrens for about 11 years now which has been a huge struggle trying to manage these. I was also diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes not long after this. I also have mobility problems and am on quite a few various painkillers, along with various other medications. This all caused
