Reducing Bisoprolol and swollen ankles
I have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and have had
pacemaker
25 years for ventricular bradycardia due to thickening of left ventricle. Do you think the reduction is causing the swelling? I feel so much better overall with the reduction. Many thanks

AV node ablation
Does anyone know if the recovery rate from an AV node ablation six weeks after a
pacemaker
implant, takes the same time as other ablations. I wondered as it’s more straightforward and takes much less time, it might not take so long to recover.

I can’t have a Fibroscan or MRI because I have a implanted defibrillator,
pacemaker
and artificial mitral valve. It is against Duke’s protocol to do the Fibroscan under these conditions as well as the MRI.

Can a pacemaker help with breathing?
One year on I have had a
pacemaker
fitted which should stabilise my heart rhythm and help my shortness of breath. Has anyone experience of this and has it worked? Still in Hospital after
pacemaker
procedure today. Many thanks.

Anxiety/SVT/SSRIs
All the cardio tests have been ok but my cardiologist thinks I have sick sinus syndrome and might need a
pacemaker
one day. I was wondering if anyone else has experience with the link between anxiety and SVTs and any alternatives to anti depressants?

Fatigue 9 months later
Feeling really rough last year this time and eventually
pacemaker
fitted September due to Bradycardia and sick sinus. Have made considerable progress but would still like to be more fit to do gym and swimming as I used to. Currently swimming x 2 weekly but sluggish most times.

Pacemaker for dizziness and arm shaking?
After tests, he has been diagnosed with sick sinus syndrome (I think) and a dual
pacemaker
recommended. Has anyone had these symptoms and been cured by having a
pacemaker
fitted?

I phoned the
pacemaker
clinic but got their answering machine and left a message. Has anyone else had this and what was the cause if not the battery.

Home sleep study
I have afib and a
pacemaker
and I suspect obstructive sleep apnea. For any of you who've had a home sleep study and a
pacemaker
did the battery run machine have any effect or reaction on your
pacemaker
? Thank you for any comments.

TAVI booked
This long journey started with AF and saw an ablation, a valve replacement, valve repair and a
pacemaker
fitted! Although I had to take off almost 6 months before being allowed back to work full time, I have now been back for six months.

It's Your AFIB, stupid
In a few days, my
pacemaker
will be re-set. My doc stated that it was no doubt AFIB out-of-control causing fatigue, not CKD4.

Has anyone had ablation for Sinus Node reentrant Tachycardia? Or for IST?
Being the sinus node, the risk of damage during the procedure is high and if something were to permanently damage the sinus node during the ablation, a
pacemaker
would be my only option. Has anyone had their sinus node ablation? For IST or for SNRT? I'd love to know what your experiences were.
