Well finally after a year of waiting I am booked to have a TAVI procedure to my Mitral area. This long journey started with AF and saw an ablation, a valve replacement, valve repair and a pacemaker fitted! Although I had to take off almost 6 months before being allowed back to work full time, I have now been back for six months. It's a real struggle most days as I don't walk too well because of breathlessness and my social life is based around places I can park outside!
This TAVI operation I am hoping will increase the quality of my life to enable me to start to think about enjoying my retirement in 2 years time.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who has had this procedure so that I can plan my recovery.
