Pacemaker for dizziness and arm shaking?

My dad has been suffering from really bad dizzy spells, sometimes accompanied with arm shaking. This has been a problem for over a year but has become worse over the last few months. Lately, his memory and thinking skills have been affected. After tests, he has been diagnosed with sick sinus syndrome (I think) and a dual pacemaker recommended. Has anyone had these symptoms and been cured by having a pacemaker fitted?

Hello and welcome to the forum! Sick sinus syndrome (SSS) is a relatively uncommon condition where the heart's natural pacemaker, the sinus node, is not functioning correctly. If you have concerns you should talk to your father's GP or cardiologist. You could also run these by the BHF nurses
