When to complete DVLA form
After 5 days in CCU consultant decided to implant CRT-D (
pacemaker
/defibrillator) device. Now, I am aware I am banned from driving for 6 months. But when do I inform DVLA. Now?

Scary Open Heart Surgery with difficult decisions
Although I already have a
pacemaker
, I was found to not only have Infective Endocarditis, but my Mitral valve had pretty much given up the ghost as some of the chords have snapped.

Bisoprolol
I’ve been taking Bisoprolol after my
pacemaker
fitted Feb 2022 and Ablation in March 2022 I have suffered with ear congestion. loss of voice. nasal congestion. Plus sore eyes. I’ve seen my Cardiologist and she’s reduced the strength to 2.5mg twice daily. Has anyone else had a similar problems.

heart disease and anxiety, why no anxiety at all until about 9 months after the heart event?
We’re going to try reducing bisoprolol to 5mg but if the arrhythmia’s become less controlled I might need a
pacemaker
for bradycardia so that I can have other medications for it. But that’s further down the line, in the meantime he’s hoping the anti anxiety medication will help some symptoms.

Aortic & Mitral Valve replacement surgery for Type 1 Diabetics.
I also have a dual chamber
Pacemaker
. On a P2 waiting list for the two valves to be replaced. Wondered are there any long term type 1 diabetics who've had this surgery and how it went and the recovery process and any tips to take on-board?

New to a pacemaker
I have just had a
pacemaker
fitted and I had a lead misplacement that pierced the wall of my heart. I am ok although sore but I am not sure what is normal and what isn’t. I guess I am a little nervous that it might happen again.

He said that I had 3 options. 1 do nothing and live with it but have some life changes 2. back on meds or 3 an ablation however he said that he would not recommend this due to the risk of a

5k Runniversary update
I couldn’t really find another
pacemaker
as there were only 46 runners and the spread was quite thin. I briefly looked around at the 5km water point expecting the parkrun runner to be not to far away but there was no one in site.

Magnesium and afib
The box that interviews my
pacemaker
, made the
pacemaker
clinic contact me. I have an appointment monday, my EP wants to put me on metoprolol on top of sotalol that I already take 80g daily. I resumed eating walnuts, pecan nuts and rasberry.
