diaphragm higher on left side
As I mentioned already just one week after having my
pacemaker
one of the leads went through my heart well and was pacing my diaphragm so a week after having my
pacemaker
I needed a second procedure to replace both leads , I then developed pericarditis and a pericardial effusion .

Pacemaker- two questions: implanting & exercise
Second question how will
pacemaker
respond to vigourous exercise (after healing period) -will it know I need a higher heart rate?

Heart Pacemaker and Omicron Covid
I went for a pacing check yesterday and was told that my atrial fibrillation was now constant whereas before it was under control and minimal. The technician said it was likely because I had Omicron Covid the other month, and that Covid can affect the heart rhythm. She said it may improve or my Consultant

vagus nerve
With his
pacemaker
after surgery I wonder if it’s this. He has had shortness of breath, he’s not been able to walk to far since bypass surgery due to weather. Only up and road and down. Wondered if anyone ever heard of vagus nerve before ? I’m going to mention to surgeon next week.

Pacemaker technology- amazing
It was great to get feedback from the technician at the BHI confirming what I felt over recent months. After I did a brief download they called me back to tell me when and for how long I was in AF in the last months. ….and confirmed the two episodes I’ve had in the last 48 hours were not AF as I was

Pacemaker doubts
Has anyone here decided not to get a
pacemaker
, in spite of cardiologist suggesting it? What was your experience? Did you regret it, or felt you made the right decsion?

I am trying to hold AF episodes with Flecainide whilst I wait for my
pacemaker
to be fitted. However, we have grandson’s wedding to attend in Provence in the meantime and Flecainide not really doing it.

Low heart rate
He has a
pacemaker
and ICD. He takes bisoprolol 2.5mg, Candesartan 32mg and Indapamide 1.5mg. He has been feeling more light headed and dizzy but we put that down to the heat. He has a telephone appointment with his GP at the end of the week and would be grateful for any input. Thank you

pacemaker and holiday
I have had a
pacemaker
, now 9 months. I am going on holiday alone for first time to a hot country. What do I need to be aware of. I have extended family there and am staying in a large hotel for 12 days.

6 days ago I had two seizures when my heart stopped since then I have had a
pacemaker
fitted but had it not been for the quick response from the paramedics I would have been dead.

Date for pace and ablate
I've had my date through for the
pacemaker
fitting, the 26th Sept. To say that my knees are knocking together is an understatement .😱

My husband had a triple heart bypass in 2016 and a
pacemaker
fitted. Since then he has had problems with breathlessness when walking but the medication he is now on has improved this and he doesn't get breathless anymore. He has had 2 TIA but nothing for over 2 years now.
