swapping cannisters
Hello, hope everyone is ok during this high pollen season. Quick question - I recently received an easy breathe inhaler instead of my normal reliever inhaler. The cannister inside looks the same. Does anyone know if its safe for me to swap the cannister and use it in my old blue plastic case? Thanks

Why !!!
My breathing has not been good lately, possibly because of a faulty inhaler, so I went for a COPD review . My peak flow was very low for me, 290 , so was given forms for blood tests and chest x ray. The next evening my breathing seemed worse as I was having difficulty drying myself after a shower. BUT

Trimbow inhaler
So a few weeks back I started using my ventolin a bit too much on low barometric pressure days up to 6 times daily when weather was like this... my other inhaler was spiriva respimat .. Move forward to appointment with nurse at GP practice .. offered me a choice of spiolto or trimbow to see if this

Disappointed
Very upbeat as I've changed my gp practice until I had an asthma review. I have copd and haven't had a check up for several years. I have salamol and trimbow inhalers but still experiencing breathlessness. Very disappointed to be told that they are not allowed to change my inhalers to anything else

Cough cough cough
Can someone please recommend something I can take to clear thick phlegm up? I’m awake all night, every night coughing and I’m lucky if I get 2 hours sleep a night. I’m like one of those hollow eyed zombies you see in films. Mostly it’s just clear phlegm but just now finally brought up (or down?) a largish

Olbas inhaler
I've read about someone using an Olbas inhaler that inhales this through their mouth to ease their lack of breath. Just wondering if anyone has tried this & do you think it's safe to do so. Hope someone could give me an opinion on this please.

Steroids, Chest Infection, Exacerbated Asthma
I hope this message finds everyone well! Just looking for some advice I’ve had a nasty ‘cold’ for about 10 days that has gone to my chest. I’ve been testing negative the whole time. The doctors checked me out and prescribed steroids for exacerbated asthma and antibiotics for a chest infection. Chest

It finally got me!!!!
So, after 2 1/2 years of being extremely careful, shielding etc, the flamin thing finally got me!! Courtesy of my son and a gig I think!! But thankfully I haven't been too poorly, hopefully due to the 4 vaccinations, inhalers and still being on pred. Quite chesty and a bad head cold but I've just had

Is there a life with severe asthma?
Hello all. I only really discovered I had asthma 6 days ago. I ended up in hospital in a life threatening condition and am finding it all so difficult to come to terms with. I’ve had nasty chesty infections since having whooping cough at age 3. I was told 2 years ago that I had suspected asthma and

It's Been Too Long
I have just looked at my profile and it shows I haven't posted for 2 years... shame on me. Where on earth has the time gone? I know where it's gone actually, and during lockdown one I had some pretty difficult stuff to deal with (not cover related), which sapped a lot of my time and energy. I did however

Copd bloating & breathless
Does this mean I’m close to dying? I’m end stage. The last few months when I wake I hurt everywhere and struggle breathing. Until I can struggle to even get out of bed until I have taken all my meds and inhalers I honestly feel death close ahead. I’m struggling to just chew and eat. So bloated I can

living with Bronchiectasis
Although I have had contact with a Clinic, I still feel as if I need more help. The Consultant changed my morning/ nighttime Inhaler, Fostair/100/6, to 200/6. This has been a big help, but still not enough. There is no sign of Physiotherapy, or any other advice. Can anyone here help.

Allergy to steroids?
Hello I have allergic asthma, diagnosed when I had a severe reaction to cat dander which swelled up my eyes, nose, and I couldn't breathe in or out. I've had inhalers since then (25 years). Recently I've been having problems with the steroid inhaler - didn't really use it much over the years because

Shanklin Old Town
Will be returning home tomorrow after 5 days in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. I took this picture of the old town yesterday and the beautiful buildings around. Weather has been wonderful and the Pulmonary rehab must have helped because I have managed the gradual hills ok without using my Sabutamol
