Waking at night
Recently I’ve been waking up coughing at night at least 3-4 times a week, but mostly during the day I feel fine - ie not generally using my blue inhaler more than once a day. I’ve tried sleeping on two pillows, cleaning my room thoroughly and I’ve even put an air purifier in the room. Any other ideas

Trimbow inhaler
I have recently been moved to this inhaler due to an increase in coughing leading to me being very tired. It seems to have decreased the frequency of the coughing bouts but when they do come they last for quite a long time and are exhausting. My COPD has been a irritation up till the last 3 months but

Spiriva respimat new device
Hi, I've been on Spiriva respimat for a while now. I know that I need a new inhaler device every 6 months but this option is no longer in my repeat medication and when I request one they just prescribe a new refill. Can I request this when I get to the pharmacy or does it have to be in the prescription

Lung Function Test
I'm due to have the test next month Slightly concerned that I am not supposed to take my inhalers ( Ventolin and Trimbow ) for 48hours before the test. Not sure if I will be able to attend- especially as its early morning. Can anyone help please? Thank you.

Salbutamol Inhaler not used as a reliever anymore?
Hi Yesterday I had my yearly Asthma review with the nurse from our surgery which quite frankly was a waste of my time. However what did concern me was that she tried to take away my Salbutamol Inhaler (actually there & then) telling me they do not recommend them any more as a reliever & that I am

I’ve had some sort of low-level virus going on for about a week now. General lethargy, and then last Monday I woke with that bruised achey feeling in the edge of my ear (like I’d slept on it curled in) which is still with me. Then Tuesday morning I thought I’d cricked my neck but it turned out to be

Asthma Inhalers And Gerd
I know heartburn, indigestion, Gerd and silent reflux are common hypo syptoms but I thought I would add they can also be a side effect of certain asthma inhalers, particularly steroid ones. The NHS is trying to change as many asthma sufferers on inhalers to the dry powder inhalers (DPI) instead of the

Progress at last
Haven’t posted for a long time. Some of you may know that after reaching my goal of a 10k continuous run I contracted COVID in September 2022. Diagnosed with Long Covid in December 2022, really struggled to even walk 400 yards but saw an improvement last Summer and got to Week 7 all be it very slowly

Salbutamol for Myasthenia
My EMG results were "Normal" so, despite the fact I have chronic muscle weakness that responds to prednisolone, 0.12 nmol/L of anti-AChR antibodies, and have lost my tendon reflexes, my neurologist says I don't have any neurological condition. I also have no detectable inflammation, so my rheumatologist

week9 at last!!
it’s been, in equal parts, a long time coming and also it sneaked up on me. I woke this morning at 7, closed my eyes for a minute and woke again at 9.40!! This keeps happening lately… my new pillows are the bomb!! So by the time I gathered my wits ( they took some finding!) , got my gear sorted and

Asthma
I'm on a high level of medication for my asthma I've been with lung specialist for 5 years, I was diagnosed with asthma in the 90s but it was mild enough for me to continue work, however as the years increased my asthma was starting to become a problem, well anyway now my asthma has become a real problem
