Hello again, quick question re pulmonary hyperinflation…..
I was sent to A&E with pains in chest/breathlessness/low Oximeter reading on evenings, it feels like pleurisy (I’m also in the middle/end of a Bronch flare) Hospital did an X-ray and it showed pulmonary hyperinflation, but they didn’t give me anything to help. So obviously, I still can’t breath

Smoke and smokers
Hi all -- Assuming your asthma is well controlled (via Xolair or your inhaler of choice), do you still get symptoms if exposed to smoke (e.g. a nearby fire), or from being near smokers? I have a respirator mask with me at all times, but it still takes a few breaths to realize there is an issue and

is it normal to have palpitations with this inhaler. Been asthmatic since 20years at least but hardly used my inhalers but lately I need to. At my asthma review I mention this about palpations so after a discussion tried flixotide 125 this was ok but developed bad pain in head not a headache as such

struggling to cope with COPD
I posted some time ago but feel I need further advice and this forum seems to be the best place to receive it. As yet due to COVID I have yet to have a spirometry test. The doctor just tells me he thinks I have mild COPD and I have a ventolin inhaler to use when I am wheezy. My peak flow is usually

Duoresp Spiromax Vs Symbicort Turbuhaler
I have been on Symbicort Turbuhaler for a few years and it has been fine. When I last went to get my script filled, the pharmacist asked if I wanted to try the Duoresp Spiromax - said it was exactly the same as Symbicort, but a better delivery method/easier to use inhaler. I used it for 2 nights. Both

surgery and effects on asthma
I had ear surgery today and the anaesthetic team were fantastic regarding my asthma, with putting me at ease and talking me through different plans if anything happened re asthma. They decided to give me some steroid (for anti sickness and hep my chest as a preventative measure) 3/4 through the surgery

post vac booster runs
Well I had my autumn booster a week ago Friday and didn’t think anything of it. I’m one of those people who had no side effects from the first 3 bar a headache for 24 hours with the first one. But this time I have felt not quite right all week. Don’t know if it’s coincidental but I’ve been lethargic,

Morning chest.
Every morning I use my brown preventer inhaler before I leave home but I still feel a heaviness in my left chest area when I walk for the bus. Does anyone else have this and what's causing it please?
