GP has said I need to switch from Fostair to Luforbec as it’s cheaper - anyone else?
Currently on Fostair 100/6. It’s working perfectly. GP wants to try me on Fostair NEXThaler dry powder inhaler to save plastics and gas emissions. They said if I don’t like it and want to go back to Fostair I need to switch to lufoerbec as it’s cheaper. Slightly concerned as I’m happy with what I am

Fostair - switch from aerosol inhaler to NEXThaler dry powder inhaler
Gp wants to switch me from the regular aerosol 100/6 inhaler to the dry powder inhaler (NEXThaler). What is everyone’s experience with the nexthaler? Did you find it good or bad?

Short synacthen test. Any restrictions recommended re medicines please
I have a short synacthen booked via endocrinology NHS.As I use inhaler for COPD, I have been advised not to use it after 4pm the day before. Other than this, everything else, including food, as normal. Does anyone know if this is the only medication I should stop. Thanking you

The ‘100 day cough’ - possible use of steroids
I came off steroids at the end of January this year, after 4 years in total for PMR. I have what has been termed the 100 day cough that persists - for 12 weeks and counting. I’ve been informed that I have post infection inflammation and an inhaler has been prescribed (I’m on my second). It has two drugs

Trimbow 87/5/9
HiI have been taking trimbow 87/5/9 for several days. So far I haven't noticed any improvement. I don't know why the specialist prescribed a low dose for me since my asthma is severe, uncontrolled and I have always been prescribed strong inhalers. I wonder if my family doctor can change me to a higher

Salbutamol & leg cramps.
Hello everyone, I've had a recent diagnosis of Asthma & was given two Salbutamol inhalers about a month ago. They seem to help the wheezing and coughing but I'm wondering if they cause cramp? I had a sleepless night last week & woke up in the morning with cramp & yesterday I went swimming & got cramp

Update on Trelegy v Fostair
A few weeks ago I had a bad fall and required a CT scan of my chest. It picked up a few things that are being followed up and one of them required me to attend an appointment with my Resp Consultant at 9.00 am this morning! I hoped he would also have time to discuss the issue I've had re the asthma

Asthma flare ups
I am on Fostair, 2 puffs twice a day and up to 8 puffs a day as per asthma plan as required. I have been prescribed Prednisolone several times after flare ups. I do get perfect relief from the steroids, but after a couple of weeks the asthma rears it`s ugly head again. I wonder if the inhaler could

Serevent
Hi. My doctor changed my inhaler from Atimos modulite to Serevent. I've been using it for two days. My question is how long do you have to use serevent for it to take full effect? Have any of you had experience with this inhaler? Thank you for all your replies.

Why is the NHS changing everyone’s inhalers from Fostair to Luforbec?
I have received messages from my Gp telling me that due to changes in NHS prescribing guidelines, my Fostair inhaler has been changed to a Luforbec inhaler as Fostair contains excessive hydrofluorocarbons which are chemicals used as propellants. And they wrote that Luforbec has the same medicinal drug

salbutamol not helping
hi guys so the doctor thinks I have asthma I’ve had an ongoing cough since feb this year and it goes and comes back. CT scan and inhalers
Hi everyone, after waiting for 5 weeks for the results of my CT scan I Emailed the Lung check people. I received a prompt reply they couldn’t understand why I hadn’t got them as they had sent the letter out 4 days after my scan on the 16th of May! I have a small nodule which isn’t anything to worry
