Yes. I’ve had covid twice and taken antivirals both times. I believe it helped me recover quicker than I would have done without. You need to decide quickly though as they have to be started within 5 days (or 7 in some circumstances)

Yes and it stopped Covid becoming a problem. Also had to send my oxygen level twice daily to the virtual covid ward

no but I wished I had. Medic discouraged me. Took me months to recover.

No I had the other infusion stuff. It worked a treat and covid lasted a day. x

I had the infusion too, Paxlovid tablets contraindicated with Hydroxychloroquine apparently.

Worked brilliantly, no side effects.

Hope you get some help and feel better soon.

Oh that's interesting & something to be aware of, you never know these days if they're fully clued up on contraindications, fingers crossed I don't get covid again 🤞

yep I had to have the infusion too when I had covid last August. (Had a feeding tube in place at the time so couldn’t take tablets) was good for me

Yes, I had the tablets. Wasn't very ill at all. Need to get them sooner rather than later though, 5-7 days after symptoms I believe.

I had Paxlovid about 3 weeks ago. I stopped Hydroxychloroquine (and Methotrexate and biologic) while taking it. I found it gave a horrid taste in mouth -on top of no taste with Covid-and quite a sick feeling. But I persevered through the 5day course. It’s taken another 2 weeks to recover from Covid and the following RA flare. (But not in hospital or severely ill with Covid)

I hope you recover soon too.

I had covid twice & both times took Paxlovid tablets within 24 hours of my positive test. Both times I felt better really quickly, wouldn’t hesitate in taking again if I had to. Only side effect was a metallic taste in my mouth whilst taking the tablets. I’m on Benepali.

I have got molnupiravir I started it Monday same day as being positive. I just can’t stop coughing and my throat is awful 😞

I had an antiviral infusion last year on day 4 of the infection. My breathing was quite poor by this point, but the day after the infusion it slowly got better.

Yes. Finished my course of paxlovid yesterday. Helped very quickly with throat didn’t get rid of it but eased it a lot. Very pleased I was offered the opportunity to take them.

Yes, Paxlovid. COVID virus gone within 8 days, at least according to LFT. Lingering head cold, but definitely think they helped.

Hi jarujuda, I am immuno supprest. I took covid just prior to Christmas 2022. I was very ill with covid. I was offered Anti-Virals and I must say "this drug helped me greatly". So thankful for it. If you do accept Anti-Viral medication, I hope that it helps you also. Good Luck.

Yeah I was given paxlovid as I’m severely immune suppressed. I could only tolerate 3 days as I spent two days on the bathroom floor going to the loo every 5 minutes or so it seemed. I was becoming very dehydrated as a result so rang the covid ward and was told to stop them. I don’t know how I managed 3 days to be honest but they did help me but then I got a rebound covid infection after 5 days of testing negative but that’s quite common even without antivirals apparently but who knew ? I do hope you feel better soon. After the fever broke I started to improve.
