Second round of icsi has begun, short protocol. I had my third scan yesterday to check the size of the follicles, however not big enough for retrieval, i now have to have another scan on monday to check the progress. This also happened to us in the first round. I was left feeling a bit disappointed to be honest as this time around i am on a higher dose of ovaleap, yes it has meant i have produced more follicles than in our first round but they are not up to size yet.
What if they dont reach the right size? Has anyone else been in this situation before aswell?

HiI'm sorry to learn this, I know it can be really deflating when you turn up to scans and things aren't developing as you'd hope.
I've had different outcomes in this scenario. Sometimes it has resulted in just stimming longer than intended. Sometimes they let ones behind catch up in order to get a larger group and they have to let the front runners go in order to achieve that. Sometimes they can change your stims during the cycle, and increase them to try and get that last push.
If they don't reach the right size they will talk to you about your options, but try and think positive as Monday is still two days away. Would suggest you eat a lot of protein and drink plenty of water over the weekend, that's what I do anyway xx
Hi so sorry i thought i ad replied you your comment. Thank you so much for your advce and support. I took it all on board. Had my additional scan yesterday and I am now ready for egg collection on wednesday.
I’m so sorry to hear this it’s very disappointing. I was in a similar situation with menapur on 2nd cycle and when I was told I thought it was over and started asking advice for different clinics was so convinced. Follicles still weren’t responding great, however , dr gave option to cancel or continue. I was in stims for an extra week. Final scan they thought possibly 3/4 I ended up with 7 eggs and 2 embryos. Transferred one and she’s now almost 7 months. Rest up and stay hydrated. Be kind to yourself and stay positive. Good luck
Its so lovely to hear stories like this, it gives me hope. It all went well innthe end and the follicles have grown enough over the weekend. In for egg collection tomorrow.
