Ct scan results
I've just arrived back from the hospital after receiving my ct scan results. There is no sign of cancer on my liver, gallbladder, adrenals, kidneys, pancreas etc... Fantastic news. I do however have a new prominent sidewall lymph node. Largest measuring 9mm. My oncologist has said this may have been

Hi everyone, I had my third chemo yesterday with the first addition of Avastin. I knew that it was going to take about eight hours but it turned out to be even longer. I went to the loo, and although I was really careful with the line, it somehow came out. I felt the pain and when I looked at it, my

Feeling down
Hi everyone. I saw my onc before chemo number 3 on Friday. I thought this was just a routine appointment, but he told me that my last scan (13 June) showed that there was further areas of growth in my abdomen, also CA125 has not been affected by the hysterectomy (27 April) He is going to introduce Avastin

Good news hopefully
I had chemo yesterday carbo only. I did ask what my ca125 level was and it was 7. I'm over the moon with that. I have a ct scan a week on Monday and am hopeful for good news surely with my ca level being so low. I'm quite nervous of the outcome still though. I have 1 more chemo left!!!!! Can't quite

Twitchy neck anyone????
Hi all, I started noticing a slight twitch in my neck during my chemo and didn't really pay much attention or mention it to oncologist. Now that I'm on the Avastin it still happens occasionally. Just wondering if anyone else has had this? or any ideas what it could be? Thanks Asma x

Avastin side effects
Hello lovely ladies Have any of you experienced a sort of nettle rash sensation but not a rash? It's on the top half of my left arm and pretty much stings 24/7... quite strange really. This is now my 8th cycle but 6 cycles with chemo. Love Michelle x

New Diagnosis!!
Hi People, Although pre op and initially post op I was diagnosed with OC it appears that now the pathology is complete I have stage 4 Adenocarcinoma of Cervix which 'very unusually' moved up to my womb and ovaries. I had my first session of Carbo/Taxol on Thurs now with added Avastin. Not feeling too

Onc
Hi all, I had my appointment with my Onc post debunking surgery yesterday and came out with a big smile on my face. I start back on Carbo / Taxol next week, she is going to change my plan from 3-4, to ensure that we get any microscopic little buggers lurking around, but my response to chemo and surgery

A fond Farewell,
A few years back in late 2013 I saw a Coffee Morning advertised by Ovacare here in Cork. I was feeling miserable as on Gem/Avastin and very unsure of myself with a recurrence. I entered the Hotel and found directions to the event. I entered the room with trepredation and a runny nose from the

Any help would be greatfully received
I'm new here. Total pain and desperation have sent me looking for answers. I had advanced ovarian cancer two years ago. The usual treatment of chemo/operation/chemo followed. Tested positive for braca 1 and the cancer returned this January in both kidneys and stomach (at least I had 9 months clear)
