It sounds similar to something I had - it was a reaction to the taxol. I came out in a rash all over my stomach, chest, thighs - it was more rash than normal skin and beyond itchy. It speckled out up my neck and down my arms. The only thing that helped was antihistamine tablets (piriton). It drove me insane and lasted about a week.
Might be worth calling your chemo unit for advice to check what they think it might be?
Hey Lorent!
I had a small breakout on my face during chemo it wasn't too bad but the nurses gave me a prescription for a cream called Rosex and it worked a treat! I only had to use a little bit of it!
Hope it clears up soon for ya!

Hi L defo sounds like a mild reaction to the chemo. As a precaution you should ring the oncall chemo people, you should have a card with a number. At least they can put your mind at rest and thats what they are there for, to help with any queries. Hope you get advice and have a good weekend x Kathy
I had a reaction to Taxol after my third session. Red rash all over my neck and head and incredibly itchy. The only thing that helped was to smother my head with germolene cream. !! My Taxol dose was reduced for session 4. Make sure you tell your Unit and Oncologist.

Yes all going well, last chemo due next Friday. Can't believe it's number 6 already.
Ps with me the itchiness went but the red rash remained, it's only now just fading.

Oh so glad to hear you are doing well Clare, the time is passing so quickly, it doesn't seem that long ago you posted on the start of your first chemo, can't believe I'm nearly finished chemo 3... Will be happy to get rid of this rash though the itch is driving me crazy π

I've had similar reactions though it didn't last long. I was still in the unit and they gave me medication to sort it out. You need to let the team know somthat can give you extra steroids or antihistamines next time.
