RAI Decision to Make
I had a TT in February due to a 1.0 cm papillary cancer nodule. The cancer did not spread. I had my 6-month ultrasound and that came back good. It has been recommended for me to have the RAI treatment because there was some angioinvasion on the pathology report. I am on the fence about it. I am worried

IBS and Cystitis
I am just wondering who else on here suffers from both IBS and recurring Cystitis? My cystitis is almost constant and bacteria based. I believe it has got so ingrained and is fast becoming antibiotic resistant. I have had a cystoscope and dilatation, to no avail, and have now lived on a low dose antibiotic

Drastically worse IBS-C/constipation for no apparent reason, after 19 years
Hi - I am posting to see if anyone has ever had a very sudden and drastic worsening in their symptoms of IBS-C/problems emptying the bowel? I have had IBS-C/constipation for nearly 20 years, and 10 years ago it got far worse after a surgery. Since that time it improved and has been consistent for

Prolapse
Hi have been interested in advice given for pessary but have now more information regarding my problem after receiving a letter from the gynaecologist. I thought my major problem was uterine prolapse but it appears I have a stage 3 cystocele as well as grade 2 uterine prolapse and grade 2 rectocele.

TA, You have really 'rocked my world'!
Until yesterday, I have been quite happy with my trimonthly blood test results over the last three years assuming that my PCa was in sleep mode since most of my PSAs have been <0.01. Now you are saying that PSAs for metastatic PCa patients are only cursory indicators of what is really going on. How did

Combined metformin-salicylate treatment provides improved anti-tumor activity and enhanced radiotherapy
It's only in vitro, but hopeful. "We observed that PrCa cells are resistant to clinically relevant doses of MET. Combined MET + SAL treatment provides synergistic anti-proliferative activity at clinically relevant doses and enhances the anti-proliferative effects of RT. This was associated with suppression

Hematuria
Have been treated with tamsulosin for a number of years now. Started bleeding 3 months ago after any form of exertion. Awkward as on anti coagulants. Had cystoscopy .. no cancer but I could see what I can only describe as a vascular mass.. which was weeping.. attached to the prostate. Finasteride

Surgery date at last
Got my appointment for a cystoscopy and urethral dilation after a 7 month wait. Feeling scared about the general anaesthetic because I’ve been unwell after GA in the past. Any tips for recovery from people out there who have had this procedure? Having to soak off all my gel nails which are quite new

Up date on RT
As i posted on prostate UK I had a very positive meeting with the oncologist this morning. 1. He is pleased with PSA at 0.07 and testosterone not being measurable. 2. He recommended RT to further extend the benefits of HT. 3. RT will be on prostate beds and sem. visceral glands that may be affected

Ovarian Cystectomy?
Hi, I went to the hospital yesterday and I'm being booked in for another laparoscopy and a double Ovarian cystectomy. They are likely to take one or both ovaries entirely due to large dermoid cysts/benign tumours in both ovaries . Does anyone have any advice? Has anyone had this surgery? I feel really

Changed doctors but at same place. Had ct scan and bone scan in June, MRI with coil and probe in July, many labs, all at this place but the new MO wants more scans before seeing him. Had one Degarelix just before the MRI and a surgical castration since. Seems like after each test, his dementia is

Getting diagnosed
Hi, I have suffered with pain in my abdomen, pelvic and back area for the past few years. Over the past couple of weeks it has been the worst I’ve ever had it. I went to the doctors and they said it was bladder infection. I’ve had two coarses of antibiotics and that hasn’t done a thing. On Tuesday

Parkin in PCa, A PCa living tumor treatment library, Sabizabulin (VERU-111) moves into Phase 3 trials, Heat to turn on CAR-T
Greetings FPC members, Been a while since posting but have been busy with a number of summer projects. The first piece of news is about Parkin, a tumor suppressor protein, that when reintroduced to PCa resulted in smaller tumors and decreased metastasis-see below: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases
