I have suffered with pain in my abdomen, pelvic and back area for the past few years. Over the past couple of weeks it has been the worst I’ve ever had it. I went to the doctors and they said it was bladder infection. I’ve had two coarses of antibiotics and that hasn’t done a thing. On Tuesday the pain was so bad that I could barely walk. The pain is like someone is stabbing me in different parts across my back and abdomen. My periods seem to be getting shorter and extremely heavy in the first three days then it stops altogether. I never knew about endometriosis before but after doing some research I think I have most of the symptoms, I have a ultrasound booked in for a month time but what can I do in the meantime for the pain. It doesn’t seem to ever go away

Try hot water bottles, TENs Machines, and also if you can look at something called BeYou patches there an absolute lifesaver sometimes. Also does your GP have you on any painkillers?? If no request some, sometimes it’s not easy to handle with just your standard OTC painkillers & you need something else to help.
Have you asked your GP for a referral to a Gynaecologist? If not definitely do that so you can get the ball rolling. Also I know this might sound harsh but please don’t pin your hopes up on the ultrasound finding anything, Endometriosis is very unlikely to be seen on ultrasounds, although possible sometimes it’s not likely. I’ve had plenty of ultrasounds throughout the years that have come back more then once clear, but when I went in for my surgery it wasn’t so clear. Definitely get onto your GP about Painkillers! Hope your pain eases soon Xx
