Hematuria

Have been treated with tamsulosin for a number of years now. Started bleeding 3 months ago after any form of exertion. Awkward as on anti coagulants.

Had cystoscopy .. no cancer but I could see what I can only describe as a vascular mass.. which was weeping.. attached to the prostate.

Finasteride prescribed .. unfortunately it takes 4 months to be fully effective and although urination slightly better I continue to bleed. Urination is painful.. akin to cystitis and bladder ultra sensitive.

Anyone having a similar experience?

There is not info in your profile. Do you have prostate cancer? What was the diagnosis after the cystoscopy?

You are posting on a site for men with advanced prostate cancer. It sounds like you have prostatitis.

Hi Dobbin69 -- you don't have enough info here. E.g., my husband has PCa (prostatectomy; radiation (2016); about a year ago he developed Radiation Cystitis -- gross hematuria, bleeding with clots, from delayed side-effects of thee radiation. It's pretty dreadful. Mostly under control now but hubby has to self-catheterize once a day. Could flare up again. . .
