How do you make toilet time a positive experience again?

I've seen in a couple of posts that people have been using some good ideas to encourage your child to use the toilet without the battle. My 6yo who has struggled with UTIs, incontinence and soiling since 2, is under urology with an overactive bladder, bit is now back in pull ups after a rough patch on new medication and is refusing to visit the toilet or change herself. Could you share your ideas?

At home, we currently have pink toilet water and fancy fragrances, where's wally books, a disco light, seats, steps, etc

Make them smile laugh, play some music, they need to be relaxed. My step daughter has bubbles for now and a paw patrol mini toilet seat that gose on in between the hole on normal seat. Make it warm. I'm going to get some inspirational quote plaques when we decorate in their.

I bought padded toilet seat covers. That helped. Also my son plays the harmonica on the toilet. A squatty potty for them to put their feet on is good too.

I just got a step stool that has a seat and handles attached. My daughter loves it and makes her feel really safe and secure. She holds the handles at the top when she 'goes'. I think she feels grown up when using it as I just leave it on for her so she can climb up and go by herself.

I bought my daughter a variety of different noise makers/whistles as blowing these also helps with pushing. We have a duck one, cazoo etc. Bit hard on your ears but has helped :)

Do you think 6 is old enough for her to change her own pullups?

My granddaughter is 11 and I'm not sure I trust her to wipe herself when she uses the toilet or changes her pads.

If your daughter anything like my granddaughter if she's in a pullup that's where she will pee, you need to get her out of pullups or she won't use the toilet.
