PSMA PET Scan result - false positive bone lesion?
My fathers PSMA PET scan ( at 0,23 psa) came back! Its been 9 months after surgery and PSA is around 0,18-0,25 and fluctated down at times. Everything was clear but a suspected bone lesion at L3 was found. The dr seem to think its false positive and said its probably nothing. We should just monitore

Complementary Therapies - Your Experience?
My standard of care drugs are doing a great job of keeping my PSA down, but it would seem inconsiderate not to look into giving them a bit of help. I'm investigating these "adjunct" therapies with anecdotal or research evidence showing potential action against prostate cancer, and I'm just wondering

Antibiotics
Has anyone been prescribed Co-trimoxazole and Cefalexin 500mg to take together? I have a chest infection Klebsiella and have been prescribed the two antibiotics, however, I'm feeling quite unwell, shivery and then hot and not sleeping and wondered if anyone else has had these side effects? It could

Waking up a sleeping colon
I have had this happen several times. Yesterday I had a call from a person who was going to stop by in 2 hours with their grandchild. Of course I was thrilled but also realized by house needed a big once over. I literally flew around, vacumning and washing the bathroom, etc. Lots of bending down which

My Condition and OP - Update.
Hello all. Was having a lie-in this morning - The phone rang and it was the urology waiting list people. I was informed my op to see if the BCG treatment had worked or not, is scheduled for the 8th of October. I doubt very much the BCG will have worked - I think my urology/oncology nurse thinks

protein supplements: yes or no?
Since I just finished Viewray Tx at UCLA, I’m moving on to the diet & exercise research zone. I’d like input on what the latest research, if any, is RE protein supplements. Whey isolate vs. vegan protein supp? Does either one promote or suppress PCa after Tx? Also, what’s the latest on eggs? It seems

Why am I afraid to go to the bathroom?
I’ve been dealing with constipation issues for the past year. I can only attribute it to gettin older - never had any problems before that. I won’t go into the details of what I have tried - I’ve taken lots of great hints from videos and forums; a lot of it seems to work - and then it doesn’t.

All clear now for two years
Just sending a positive story. Diagnosed 2b HG clear cell, endometrioid 2020. Big op, chemo, diagnosed my own recurrence after 6 months. Another op, then RT. 2021. Last couple of scans have been clear. They are still going to check me every 6 months. I am taking alternative supplements and vitamins

Update after tests,etc
We are at decision time. Since my first posting - all tests completed ( MRI, CT, full body bone, PSMA Pet- they have came back that it hadn’t spread). GL 7 Grade 3 Husband young 58 and active. QofL is high on list. We were all set to go with radiation and went to discuss treatment options and Dr recommended

PSADT question...plus Xofigo and comorbidities
Hello, I am new to the site. This is my first post. I am mCRPC since 4/2022, and on abi/pred since then. My PSADT is now 2 months (44.55 on 6/1 to 96.28 on 8/4). I am waiting to be placed on Xofigo. Should I be panicking about this PSADT? Also most folks seem to be otherwise healthy.....do any

When to introduce ADT after RP failure
I'm progressing well on Triplet Therapy coming up 12 months after Chemo and comparing myself to my brothers situation. He doesn't belong on this advanced prostate group but I hope his cancer does not advance to the point that he does! Diagnoses Biochemical failure following radical prostatectomy

Kidney Stones
I’m 19 months into ADT (Lupron) following open RP and 38 rounds of radiation last summer. All treatments or for Gleason 9 (5/4) PC that had spread outside the prostate. A few weeks ago I started getting loose bowels, incontinence and blood in my urine. My urologist thought I had radiation cause cancer

Cystitis post endometriosis surgery
Hi, I had stage 3 endometriosis surgery just over 4 months ago. Endo was removed from bowel, bladder, ovaries etc. Prior to my surgery I used to get cystitis only after intercourse which would go away after a course of antibiotics. However, since my surgery I keep on getting cystitis(mostly constantly

MAJOR CANCER CURE! (yeah, I know it's not PD)
Somehow (and i watch, listen, and skim DOZENS of health videos weekly) i missed this one from a YEAR ago! Even though it is a miracle treatment for "cancer" and not "PD" -- the point is that SCIENCE is working VERY HARD to cure, stop, prevent, slow down ... PD! SO DON'T GIVE UP! ------------------
