Waking up a sleeping colon

I have had this happen several times.

Yesterday I had a call from a person who was going to stop by in 2 hours with their grandchild. Of course I was thrilled but also realized by house needed a big once over. I literally flew around, vacumning and washing the bathroom, etc. Lots of bending down which isn't easy for me due to a bad hip that needs replacing.

Anyhow give me an hour and my friend calls to say her grandchild started to run a fever so she didn't think she should come - and I readily agreed! About 20 minutes later, huge cramping to have a bowel movement - like very intense. I went 3 times, all was "normal" but soft from the Miralax and Colace (every other day). I ended up lying down and sleeping like a rock with chills for about 2 hours. Woke up and felt weak but literally wonderful with my body cleaned out like that.

I also have bleeding when I "go" but not with the diarrhea - none at all.

I have told my doctor that it feels like my colon has simply gone to sleep. All that housework woke it up. It's not the first time.

Thoughts?

I must not let my wife see this, she already calls me the house fairy, if she thinks doing all the housework will help my ibs she will never pick up the vacuum cleaner 😂😂😂
