future uncertain
first depression and anxiety building over the last 24 months or so, finally had it diagnosed about Oct 2012, my work noticed my decline in productivity and shoved me on a disciplinary "improvement or else" plan threatening my job, I've been perscribed Lustral but having read up on all sorts of sites

Feeling a bit fobbed off
Hi I have pain again around my left hip area despite three laps and
removal
of left
ovary
. I went to see my doctor about three weeks ago and she prescribed Mebeverine as she believed my pain was worsened by spasms in my gut.

Anyone's experienced removal of both ovaries? Good or bad experiences welcome.
Hi I'm trying to decide if having both removed is the correct decision. I'm so torn and would just like a few experiences of anyone who's had it done. Surgical menopause is scaring me after my experience with Zoladex and Prostap.

7 months since Laparoscopy and why am I in pain again?
, numerous adhesions which were attached to my bladder, bowel and gall bladder,
removal
of part of my right
ovary
and the attached 2 smaller cysts, womb ablation and fitted with a Mirena coil. The 1st 4 months were pain free, even tho I continued to bleed into month 6 (very heavy).

Ovary removal / hysterectomy
Are there any ladies on here who have experienced removal of both ovaries and hysterectomy at a young(ish) age. I am 30 and going in for what is now my 3rd op on thursday. Previously had borderline tumour ( non invasive) on my RH ovary which resulted in RH ovary and tube being removed, but consultant

Does anyone know about Parkinson's symptoms possibly brought on by an ovary removal and lack of oestrogen?
It came up immediately that the
removal
of an
ovary
may cause Parkinson’s symptoms. At the time I was offered HRT but because of controversy at that time I decided not to have it. Apparently the hormone replacement treatment prevents a massive loss of oestrogen, which causes the symptoms.

Oophorectomy (ovary removal surgery)
Today, I was reminded once again by my doctor/oncologist to think seriously about getting my ovaries taken out. I am very strong and I do not want to ever go against what a doctor would recommend, especially when it is in my own interest. I want to live a cancer free life. But what sacrifices a woman

12 months with an Endo diagnosis
As is a decision as to what level of surgery I have (laparoscopy or that +
ovary
removal
). The end result is inevitable but it's about delaying things as long as possible and giving me choices. Not been the best 24 hours I have to say.

After 3rd lap in 3 years the pain is back::-(
At this point I'd had enough and asked them before I had more surgery to remove the left
ovary
. This was done last September along with the
removal
of more endo and I think finally after I recovered from surgery I had about three pain free months.

Follow-up scan?
Hi everyone I had a lap last year to remove a 10cm endo cyst which was wrapped completely around my right
ovary
, along with
removal
of smaller cysts from my other
ovary
and a few adhesions. I had one follow up consultation about 3 months after the op and that's it.

Calcium, fluoxetine and vit D
Do those of you who had a surgical menopause take 1.5g of calcium on prescription, was your doctor sympathetic, did anyone take fluoxetine for night sweats and vit D supplements? I plan to see doc about this as have to go for my yearly throid test, should I anticipate a lack of understanding or resistance

I have 3 options: Ovaries removed, Mirena coil, or Transcervical Resection of Endometrium. what are anyone elses experiences?
I think he thinks that
ovary
removal
is the best option, he said a TCRE still leaves the problem of the ovaries. I believe he means both as producers of hormones and the endometriosis around them.

Great finds!
I am so over the moon about a couple of things I bought /was given I wanted to share them. It struck me as another good theme too as I can't have found them all -- so go on: what were your amazing useful finds for us poor beleaguered ladies of the OC Order? Mine are: M&S dance pants -- like leggings

Ovary removal. Has anyone tried HRT implants ?
Hi, I am scheduled to have surgery on Monday to remove one ovary or possibly both. I had my cervix and uterus removed four years ago aged 36. The consultant suggested estrodiol HRT implants if both ovaries are removed. I am concerned about the side effects and wondered if anyone has any experiences
