Ovary removal only

Hi šŸ‘‹ I’m new here. Hoping I can get some insight. I have had about 9 months of prostap injections and found my endo/ adeno pain improved so much. A couple of months ago I started HRT to go with the prostap and have found my pain has increased a bit. From what I’ve read this is fairly normal with endo

Ovary removal success for Endo?

Hi I am 3 weeks post Ovary and Fallopian Tube removal performed Laparoscopically. After surgery my Consultant confirmed that Endometriosis had basically stuck my ovaries to my pelvis. He advised that I shouldn’t suffer from any further Endometriosis issues but I do still have uterus.

New here! Most menopausal oophorectomy?

Preventative ovary removal was suggested, but I wanted to avoid surgical menopause so opted to postpone that. Now i'm 'properly' peri-menopausal i'm considering my options.

Stopping the mini pill for better sex?

I am on the waiting list for excision surgery, cyst removal, possible ovary removal, and bowel resection. I was on zoladex for 6 months which ended in January. I loved the zoladex, I had minimal every day pain, periods were mostly stopped, I had energy and felt like me again.

Hysterectomy and ovary removal plus excision of endometriosis- recovery tips please!!!

Hello all ā¤ I had my surgery on Thursday. Does anyone have any advice to help me recover fully and well? (I'm already using estrogen patches and gel so I don't get a hormone deficiency). Endo was in uterus, ovaries and pelvis, plus on bowel. It's been a huge 23 slog, taking 20 years to get an endo diagnosis

Aviva - Excluding Endometriosis as a "Chronic" Condition

Hello I'm hoping someone could give me advice or be able to provide some support during this tough time which my wife is going through. I'm doing my very best to support her but feel like I can't do enough most of the time. I know we are lucky in that we have private medical insurance through my work

My consultant has said i shroud wait a month before i go on HRT, due to blood clotting just after surgery. I

Cleared the Slate and Started Over

I felt like I was spinning my wheels, so I basically cleared the slate and I am starting all over. I went through surgical menopause in my early 40s and now I am 58, so I am trying to figure out sex hormones as well as thyroid. I know I need adequate amounts of estrogen and thyroid to feel well. My problem

At a loss 😢

Hi there wondering if anyone out there has any advice. I had a bilateral salpingo oopherectomy 10 weeks ago. I was told after this op that everything should be good and I would be Endo free. My ovaries were ā€œstuckā€ to the pelvis cavity. During the laparoscopy my surgeon took biopsies and also looked

Are they going to take my HRT away?

Hi all, after surgery I went into surgical menopause HARD and was put straight on HRT patches. I now have a diagnosis of clear cell carcinoma Stage 1c, shortly to start chemo. They asked what meds I was on in the appointment and I forgot to mention the HRT as I don't think of it as meds as such. I'm

Blood test for calcium

I was reading the 'Supplement timing' post which appeared in my daily e-mail this morning and one of the replies from greygoose raised a good point. In the past I was mildly low with my calcium and since going through a surgical menopause in October 2021 and having a DEXA scan which showed mild osteopenia

HRT and Ovarian Cancer

Hi everyone. I was diagnosed end of 2020. Stage 1c endometriod adenocarcinoma at the age of 41. I was told I wasn't allowed HRT and assumed they meant forever.. so I figured out ways to help my body get through the menopause. Now just over a year later I'm doing great. I'm waiting for my yearly ct
