PCOS UK (Verity)
10,073 members
Verity is a self-help group for women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The group was established in 1997 to share the truth about the condition and improve the lives of women living with PCOS. The charity is run by a dedicated board of Volunteer Trustees supported by a team of further volunteers, who all support thousands of women both in the UK and internationally. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS): -affects millions of women in the UK and worldwide -runs in families -is one of the leading causes of fertility problems in women -if not properly managed, can lead to additional health problems in later life -can have an impact on appearance and self-esteem Although PCOS is treatable and the symptoms can be managed, it cannot be cured.
Healthy Happy Woman

Back in 1997 I started an organisation called the Hysterectomy Association. 22 years later it closed and all the information moved to a new website called Healthy Happy Woman. The new site is about health, happiness and writing in the 21st century and will share posts, flash fiction and health and well-being information mostly for women. I hope you’ll join me in the latest part of a long journey to wellness.

Melanoma Support Ireland

Melanoma Support Ireland is a Peer led support organisation. We were set up by a group of Irish melanoma patients who wish to offer and gain support from others patients or family members living with a diagnosis of melanoma in Ireland. We do not offer medical advice but we welcome you to share your experiences in our group. Peer support is incredibly important for patients and can help cope with feelings of isolation and fear especially when dealing with a diagnosis of cancer. We look forward to interacting with you and encourage you to share your experiences and any links you may have that will help support our members. Any information provided on the forum needs to be from a verifiable scientifically proven source as we do not allow posts about alternative unproven cures in our group.
