Tinnitus and high dose inhaled steroids
Does anyone know of research into high dose inhaled steroids and tinnitus. I have heard anecdotal evidence from people with asthma, but haven’t found anything online. I’d be interested because my tinnitus came on very suddenly and coincided with a change to higher dose steroid inhaler. Thank you!

Clogged ears
I developed whooshing pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear a few years back. It's very loud. When I perform The Valsalva maneuver or rub my ear it feels clogged and doesn't seem to resolve itself. It just doesn't feel right. Does anyone experience anything similar and whether this can be related to the

Any advice on tapering prednisolone with Methotrexate and RoActemra?
hello...would be grateful for words of wisdom and experience. Feeling confused on how to manage steroid reduction. Started Methotrexate 5 weeks ago and 3rd RoActemra injection tomorrow. Was told to reduce steroids from a high of 55mg at 5mg/week back in May. Am now on 20mg, reducing to 15mg on this

Nerve block for wrist surgery
Just wondering if anyone has had experience of an operation under Nerve Block as opposed to General Anaesthetic. I have just had a plate put in my wrist due to a fall and besides it being the worst experience of my life, my Fibromyalgia has drastically worsened. Wondering if I should have opted for General

Acoustic neuroma
I developed acoustic aroma about a year and a half ago. All of a sudden, my right ear felt clogged and I started to develop tinnitus. I am really upset because I don’t know what I’m in for. The worst part of this is the tinnitus. I wish that it would just go away and it would be cure for it. It’s loud

Antihistamines and tinnitus
I have had right sided tinnitus for over 4 months. I have seen ENT, audiology , MRI etc. There are no reasons found for the tinnitus. I am partially habituated but it can lead to loss of sleep at night. However, I get pollen allergies at about this time of year and start taking antihistamine - ceterizine

COVID
Am fully vaccinated for COVID. Had close contact with two people who had positive COVID self tests. Determined self testing if positive is reliable. Was not feeling unwell to a degree could not be attributed to 'B12'. Sent a clear informed message to my GP in the morning which is yet to be answered

Typewriter tinnitus or Middle Ear Myoclonus?
Hi all, I had a clicking start in my left ear 5 months ago. At first it was just a click, and there was a feeling to it too. At times it could sting my ear. Then one night, I got a bombardment of lighter clicks in the ear, that went on for a near minute. Over time the these clicks have become more frequent

covid - any benefit from Azithromycin 250
yesterday I spend several hours in car with someone who may now have covid, although she’s only presently showing a sore throat. Someone she spent last weekend with has now tested positive. Do I get any protection from the daily dose of Azithromycin 250. I have problem wearing mask as result of broken

strategies
hi everyone. I’m new to this forum. I’m wondering if anyone has some coping strategies for tinnitus? Since COVID I’ve had it severe and it’s taken over my life I’ve seen an audiologist who has given me hearing aids to mask abit of it. It does help a tiny bit but all depends on how loud it is at

Doctor won't diagnose PMR
I'm absolutely certain that I have PMR. But my blood tests all came back normal, including the erythrocyte sedimentation rate and the inflammatory marker test, and I'm only 56. My GP has just left me on NSAIDS and paracetamol with physio. It's not working. How common is it to have PMR with no obvious

Monopost eye drops
Is anyone in the UK having trouble getting Monopost single use eye drops? Pharmacist just says to ask for a different drop…not as easy as that when you’ve tried most available and they don’t lower pressure! So frustrating…don’t know what to do now.

Recently diagnosed with Covid, doctor prescribed the above to help with sinus pressure. Should it or azithromycin make RL to kick back up? Thanks

hearing/ear issues
Hi, I’ve developed hearing loss/tinnitus in one ear and am waiting for an MRI to exclude an acoustic neuroma. I have mixed connective tissue disease and so one of the other possibilities is that these symptoms are due to an autimmune process. I wondered if anyone had any similar experiences? Thanks for

My journey with pulsatile tinnitus
Hi all I’m 20 months into having pulsatile tinnitus and thought I’d share my journey as it will hopefully give hope to those who are just learning to deal with it. I developed it after a plane journey where I had a lot of pain in one ear as we were landing - something I’ve never had before. I also

Y'all did it again. Thank you!
So I was DX with chronic swimmers ear and told all I could do was treat with alcohol and vinegar. I read here about blocked Eustachian tubes and did some reading. So far I have been able to self treat with trying to pop my ears and swallowing. If I can not keep up I know the next step is to buy Otovent

Pulsatile tinnitus
Hi. I hit the top of my head against a wooden beam when standing up. Since then i have had numerous issues with balance, heart rate palpatations, irratic blood pressure and pulsatile tinnitus. Read that i may have caused upper cervical spine instability, which can damage the Vagus nerve. Anyone else
