Just had my second Prolia shot less than two weeks ago. A few days ago I noticed thick hard skin on a few knuckles...Scleroderma?
Am suspecting that the Prolia has started Scleroderma, which I have never had before. Will be talking to my rheumatologist soon. Anyone else have it start up after beginning Prolia? My Raynaud's has been much worse this year, as well.

Does any other parent out there have a child with primary sclerosing cholangitis?
My son was diagnosed last year along with ulcerative colitis, is anyone one else experiencing the same thing?

Has anyone tried echinacea?
Hello all I've been on prednisolone for two and a half years now and I guess my immune system is compromised as I'm getting frequent recurrent UTIs. I was going to try echinacea and cat's claw to try and boost my immune system but came across a drug interaction with echinacea and pred. when I googled

How is colitis diagnosed? If its a colonoscopy I'm not sure I can face it!
I do seem to have all the symptoms of colitis, and my thyroid problem is auto immune, so I guess there may be a link. My GP is a bit rubbish, I've been there once or twice with blood in my stool and they always want to fob it off as piles, which I don't think it is as I just don't match that profile,

Recovered from the ankle strain and first run in 10 days - Steady 5km - 29:45
Hi all, I hurt my ankle 10 days ago when I got a 5km PB at Barking Parkrun. I decided to rest until the pain in the ankle was completely gone before I ran again. So today I first ran W3R3 with my wife, we ran 3km together. Once my wife finished she went home and I began a 5km. My aim was to do it

I went to see the locum dr on Wednesday as I felt in need of reassurance and ended up with two new medicines
He told me I had a heart murmur and said I should try another water tablet and also another go at another heart medicine. The water tablet is Natrilix and the other one is Doxazosin. The Natrilix is slow release and works all day, I've to wait three days before starting the Doxazosin. Luckily I'm

My 9yr old son was diagnosed with sclerosing cholangitis and ulcerative cholangitis last month and we don't know what quite to expect.
He went from 4.5 stone down to about 3stone in 6 months and has just been release from the RVI newcastle after having a really bad flare up. Can anyone shed a little light on what we should expect and future things to come. He's also just started a 3 months course of steroids alongside his normal medication

What are the side effects of Golimumab when using with or after treatment of Methotrexate (injected) and Hydroxycholoroquine?
I have been having persistent flare-ups after 2 years of weekly self-injected 25mg of Methotrexate and daily Hydroxycholoroquine tablets. I used to take steroid tablets to assist me during these flare ups (usually left knee and wrists) but they have now lost their impact and in-joint steroidal injections

Precursors to Lymphoproliferative Malignancies, MBL, MGUS
An interesting look at premalignant conditions and what they portend... 'Given that both MBL and MGUS uniformly precede malignancy, chemoprevention strategies are an area of keen interest. Both MGUS and MBL patients have a low probability of progressing to a clinical disease and thus chemoprevention

Had Fludarabine? You can only have irradiated blood...for life.
This is a repost...for some reason the messages isn't getting through... It simply amazes me how many fludarabine treated CLL patients are not aware of this fact... it also apples to Cladrabine and pentostatin all purine analogs in fact. Also a good idea for bendamustine and campath...

Anyone else run with Ulcerative Colitis?
I was diagnosed in 2009 and my condition has seemingly stabilised itself, so much so that I started to gain weight. In an effort to improve my overall fitness I've started C25K with the aim of joining a park run nearby. Just wondered if there is anyone else with the same condition and what experiences

Is anyone taking Simponi? If so how did you get on? Did you have any side effects? Is it or did it work for you.
I was on Enbrel, but the injection site reactions where getting too big and annoying! Any information on simponi and what other drugs you are taking will be greatly received. Thank you

Info to give your other half if they do not understand decrease in sex drive when undergoing hormone treatment (i.e., Zoladex/Prostap).
My fiance did not quite understand why I had completely lost my libido whilst on Prostap. I did not understand this either. I wanted to be intimate with my other half but my body was just not interested so decided to research into the drug used in Prostap to find out why my libido was so poor. I

What are your favourite running songs?
Hi all. Even though I am only half way through the c25k plan and still using the podcasts, I am already assembling playlists on my iPhone to warm up/ run /cool down to for when I graduate. I'm curious as to what other people's favourite tunes are to run to that make you feel happy, motivated and (even
