And a bad sign when they don't? Seriously, if Enbrel works great for three weeks then I flare (in joints which already had damage and flaring before I Started Enbrel a month ago) is this indicative of not going to work I wonder? Who can tell. Have to sit it out a bit longer, till end of three months, but without steroids is hard knowing they could return me to great mobility, but mask the ESR etc. Anyhow, I am deligted for you all who aren't having any blips and long may that continue! ;-) I think I may be a more difficult patient given my joint damage.

I know- was worried for a day or two there but this morning got dressed without even thinking about it, then I realised I had pulled up my trousers using my thumbs, something I have not done in five months! Xx

Wow! It's great when you see something working. Sounds like a great drug for you, but could it make the sun come out as well? Polly

So glad to hear that! Great news. Unsure if Enbrel will be right for me but only had four. As I said, two days after the first shot things really happened fast then all very good indeed for three weeks then I flared in my worst areas. We shall see. As my fingers are stiff/huge I shall have to make visits here to type much less, but wishing you all well, of course.

Hi July, I am sorry I did not reply to your previous comment . I think we all live with the knowledge that there is a possibility that the RA will flare and nothing will be able to prevent that- sadly that is the reality for all of us. I hope that your flare is short lived. My fingers and hands were the first place I noticed my RA and it is lovely sitting here tonight looking at my much improved hands so I send quiet hugs to you and hope your flare is soon under control.

I know what you mean about typing- I was fortunate enough to get an IPad from work, it requires no pressure to type, simply touch my finger tips on the keyboard and really I simply now could not do without it especially as I still do not have full movement of the joints, not that that is a complaint, way too early for that level of improvement

I sure appreciate your replies especially since it is currently so horrible for you

Hugs

Katie

I am so delighted it is working for you, Katie! I think I had been left too long waiting to start the Enbrel and I could feel and see the joints going gaga. At least I know why, I guess. it os going other things, definitely, but it needs to do more! Love to you.
