Osteopenia
Comparing the results to the previous years it fluctuates up-and-down, but I have
osteopenia
. Is it necessary to go on any medicine for the bones? I do take calcium, vitamin D and not sure if I should take K2. I’ve heard mixed reviews about it

Scaring women into taking dangerous drugs? Something to think about.
Here’s the gist of it: A diagnosis of osteoporosis or
osteopenia
is a very frightening thing and there is little information available to help the consumer distinguish fact from hype before embarking on long-term drug regimes.

What an amazing day!
Hips are low side of normal but no evidence of
osteopenia
!!! I had been told I had
osteopenia
- he was surprised when I said this, the consultant who told me said it was because I was overmedicated.

My last bone density scan indicated that I had osteoporosis in my neck and several areas of
osteopenia
. He wants me to begin Prolia injections. My on-line researchdoes not come up with anything positive about this drug. Does anyone here have any input on this?

Osteoporosis
Hi Have had a bone scan this morning and it showed osteoporosis in my right femur and
osteopenia
in the left and spine. Completely gobsmacked as I have been on AA and only stoped in June as now on a low dose of Prednisolone.

My Osteoporosis Journey
Two of them had successfully moved from osteoporosis range into
osteopenia
through non-medical means. One remains faithful to her regimen and continues to improve, the other has slacked off and become osteoporotic again.

ADVICE
Still on
osteopenia
, but my numbers are worst than last year. Doctor wants to put me on Fosamax and I refuse to take it since all the bad side effects. So I would like what you think, right now I am taking vitamin D, calcium(600 mg) plus vitamin D, 300 mg in the morning and300 and night.

Weighted hula hoop for OP- is it a good or bad idea?
The question is this was before diagnosed with
osteopenia
in hip and osteoporosis in spine so am now wondering if the constant twist action will be of help or could it cause further damage? I have no idea, would anyone know?

Algae Cal for bone density
I have been diagnosed with
osteopenia
and after a couple of months of high dose vitamin D3 (it had been very low) I was put on Calceos. My sister has done some research for me and suggests that Algae Cal may be more beneficial. Has anyone tried this and improved their bone density with it?
