Can I get enough calcium from my diet to treat osteopenia?
Advice and input please. I have issues with supplements so, I've been drinking four glasses of almond milk each day. Prednisone has been hard on my bones.

GCA DIAGNOSED ONE YEAR AGO AND STRUGGLING...
Though I have lost the moon face, I still carry 25 extra pounds, have
osteopenia
, fatigue and mild to moderate headaches. My rheumatologist says,"you should feel good now that the steroids are done." What the heck!

Asthma & Vit D - 'follow-up' Post
As well as (hopefully) improving 'Respiratory Health', I’ve been encouraged to ensure optimum Vit D3 dosage as, following a DXA Scan that I requested (precaution to Oral Steroid Use), I’m informed I have
Osteopenia
(which can, in some cases, lead to Osteoporosis).

High dose boron?
A friend of mine said she reversed her
osteopenia
with 90 mg boron per day, then reduced the dose to 60 mg per day after a few months. Thanks.

A good visit to the doctor
My results are: spine -1.1 and femoral neck -1.5 which the hospital say is very mild
osteopenia
. The report recommends that I carry on as I am with taking calcium and d3 and they want another scan in 12 months time. I skipped out of the surgery as I was so pleased.

46 year old osteoporosis - & HRT - update
, impact exercise etc My DEXA results are worse than your ones - My hips are
osteopenia
(-2.1 - ostepenia range = -1.0 and -2.5, which improved from -2.2 which it was three yrs ago), my spine has declined from -3.3 to -3.6, so osteoporosis, though so I am desperate to get treatment.

Prolia Experience
I've been on Eligard for four years and have developed osteoporosis and
osteopenia
. My urologist and MO had recommended that I take Prolia treat the one density issues. I have read a lot of negative comments on the internet concerning the serious side effects of the medication.

Shocked about Bone mineral densitometry results
Osteoporosis in hip and spine,
osteopenia
in wrist. I didn’t expecting that bad because I’m only 31 y/o. Is there any body with same results?

Bone density
I have
osteopenia
but at mid 60s average for my age so I am told. The question is does bone density improve once off all steroid medication? After all all tissue renews.
