Osteoporosis with good results with Prolia injections

Hi all, I'm new to this Osteoporosis group, but not new to the bone density matters .

I was diagnosed with Osteopenia, then Osteoporosis about 15 years ago.

Now, I've taken my fourth Prolia injection (one every six months) and had a bone density workup with satisfactory results. This is the first time any supplement, prescription, or therapy has shown positive bone strength results. I've had none of the side effects listed on the paperwork, and I hope that continues.

I've been working one-on-one with a Pilates coach in her studio. She specializes in bone density therapies with gentle workouts for spinal strengthening and overall body and posture support. I've been seeing her once a week for 2.5 years and feel that these workouts—walking and now starting to work with weights—with the positive Prolia results - give me hope for my future.

I'm Jana, age 75, living in Hawaii.

Thanks for this, Jana! Gives me hope for my mom, age 77, recently diagnosed, who will get her first Prolia shot next week. Fingers crossed for further improvement for you! Living in a lovely and sunny environment should also help ;-)

Thanks for the good wish! I hope the best for your mom too. It takes a while to see the results on the scans - 18 months before I saw improvement, but I do feel the Pilates, walking, and now adding weights in a more concentrated way is the ticket. 😉
