Blood pressure post vaccine
Hi I don't know if this is related or just coincidence but has anyone noticed a rise in BP after covid vaccination? I had my 5th one on Saturday and BP raised. I normally have quite good BP.

Hello All, I started exercising about 1 month ago. Mostly weights but have now started adding cardio. I haven’t even lost 1lb in weight. I’ve lost about 2 inches off my waist. My shoulders, arms & legs are clearly taking on shape…I just haven’t lost any weight. I am diabetic & take metformin & gliclazide

High blood pressure
I am a 45 year old woman. I discovered I had high BP when I had to go to hospital for heavy bleeding. It read 230/180 which was a surprise to me, actually I was very afraid. Doctor prescribed losartan 50mg at first then 100mg. Ally bloods came back normal. It has come down to a better reading of 140

Temgesic - Buprenorphine difference
Hello team 😊 I have recently started Temgesic 🥳🥳 and my neuro advised breaking the dose to twice in 24 hours. I made a straight switch, (with a 12 or so hour break from Oxynorm) and so far everything is very positive. After many years of broken sleep, say around 4/5 hours a night, I can now sleep

donedarone
i am on vacation until Friday. Recently I have found that my Donedarone tablets are sticking in my throat. I was told it may have gone down and just feels like it’s stuck. It’s a big tablet like Panadol only bigger. However I am now finding that my resting pulse is anywhere between 60 and 70 whereas

Both MSA and Parkinson's disease can cause dizziness when standing up (
orthostatic

) due to a drop in blood pressure, which, in MSA, may be severe enough to cause brief blackouts.

Food question
I know a healthy diet is good for keeping the bp and heart healthy and being new to high bp, I was wondering about yogurt as I eat it daily with fresh fruit and granola. I have Greek yogurt generally but is there a better option? I get lower the fat the better but then they are generally higher in sugar

viagra
I’m taking Felodipine for slightly raised BP and it’s working well . Unfortunately it’s causing some mild ED. I’ve tried other BP meds but can’t tolerate them. I had an ablation for AF nearly 12 months ago which has been successful. The urologist is suggesting viagra or similar. I’m worried it

Dosing with Potassium Chloride
Hello, The potassium/sodium balance is identified as an important driver of high blood pressure. This is what I believe underlies recommendations to consume fresh fruit and veg to help high bp. The only issue is that with busy lives etc it is sometimes difficult to keep up with the 5/day recommendation

Autoimmune Autonomic Ganglionopathy Associated with Voltage-Gated Potassium Channel Antibodies
Subsequent evaluations revealed progressive cardiovascular adrenergic impairment with evidence of
orthostatic
hypotension
associated with a rise in the antibody titer. At that time, treatment with IVIG was initiated.

Conflict between urine microalbumin and creatinine levels
I am a 52 yrs old man, an engineer from Sudan. I am on Crestor 10mg since 2007 with controlled lipid profile except HDL around 40mg/dl, also on Telmisartan 40mg since 2010 which reduced urine microalbumin from 50 to 26 mcg/l. I am a neither diabetic nor hypertensive. Recently my PB dropped down to 60

From EHA June 2022. Treating hypertension in patients receiving BTK inhibitors
My own Ibrutinib induced hypertension has been tricky to treat and Losartan, which did suit me, had to be stopped as it was contraindicated. Now on Amlopidine and it's not effective at all so going back to Losartan now that I'm off Ibrutinib. Interesting in that he says that more than one class of

After the Wedding trip to USA I am now in hospital!
After a wonderful trip , feeling really good, I gradually felt tired and “strange “ over the next 2 days . I took my blood pressure and found it was much higher than usual so phoned 111. When the Dr phoned me it was even higher and he said I should go to A&E and was admitted. I’ve had lots of tests and

Blood Pressure tablets.
Can anyone help in regard to blood pressure tablets that do not have much in the way of side-effects. Currently I am taking Bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg which are fine. Because my blood pressure is now slightly raised I need to take a different tablet. I have tried Amlodipine and Rampril 2.5 mg - both
