Hi all, don't remember asking this first because I'm super worry but, please, anybody has been prescribed Valium when on Digoxin, Flecainide, Sotalol? It appears to relax me and have better sleep, and I only have it some time. I don't think it affects me as it does to others. The Cardiologist prescribed it to me, but my GP doesn't like me to have it.
Many thanks for reading.

Well ou need to ask the cardiologist to explain why he prescribed the valium. Tell te cardiologist WHY you GP doesn't want you to take the valium. Make sure you discuss the valium fully wth both our doctors. Then its up to you to evaluate which doctor makes the most sense. Then get a second pinion for m the doctor you don think is making sense.
Valium is probably helpful in reducing stress, which contributes to Afib and flutter occurences. That is only a guess.... Call your doctors office and speak to them.
I am on a large dose of Sotalol 160mgs twice a day and also take Valium when needed; maybe 1 - 2 times per fortnight and it is totally okay to have. I also take it when in AF because it helps with anxiety. This was prescribed by a leading cardiologist. The cardiologist knows what they are doing, the GP doesn’t specialise in cardiac care.
