Type 1 to type 2

Hi every one my i am diagnosed with diabetes type 1 4 years ago later they found i am type two nd jst need some metformin everyday abt 1 year ago my gp said i dont need pills i can manage that with my diet last 3 years my hba1c is 42 or 41 which is for anyone with no diabetes i had my eyes test a month ago they said they found some changes in my eyes vessels but dont need any treatment so is every person got some changes in vessels pls help thnx
