Oramorph

I arrived in hospital have been given paracetamol codeine ibrupofen and oramorph as often as possible and it has taken the edge off but the pain is still there. My bloods have been taken and show slight increase in my white cell count.

Its been a week since I 1st went to hospital, The pain is still here and is still just as bad without the Oramorph and Codeine (tried to not take them because they are not long term fixes) it is still severe when taking the medication just slightly duller.

I take 400mg morphine three times a day, 60mg oramorph six times a day duloxetine 120mg at night, amitriptyline 200mg at night, diazepam 30mg four times a day, ketamine 100mg four times a day, and I am still in absolute agony.

I believe she has a degree of hepatic encepalopathy and was put on oramorph which appeared to tip her over the edge of being rational! We are getting nowhere 're prognosis and future treatments! The GP's have no interest and the hospital waiting times for a gastro appointment are ludicrous!

A larger bore catheter was inserted and I had constant bladder washouts with constant painful bladder and urethral spasms, needing oramorph. During my stay pain relief was inadequate and NOT patient-centred.

Hi All, I have been taking large ammounts of Oramorph and Tramadol for nearly a year and think it is time to reduce. I am due for an operation which will relieve the pain somewhat but there is no hope for an introduction to the pain clinic for months.

In early October I had a severe flare up and was prescribed oramorph, codeine, diazepam and an anti sickness again; all of which came with side effects.

I’m in excruciating pain but just keep getting fobbed off with co-codamol and at one point oramorph. I’ve been waiting nearly 11 weeks for an ultrasound and even longer for a physio appointment.

I stopped taking it straight away (I was only taking the oramorph), and Hey presto there's a big improvement with my already laboured breathing !!!........ I believe the oramorph was relaxing my chest muscles that much that my lungs were struggling to work ...

do the job, I could barely walk to the car or the bottom of the road which is about 20 yards without stopping and gasping for breath with my chest tightening up I do have a Pacemaker but decided with my doctor to change to and start on Morphine mst 40 mg a slow release equivelant twice daily plus Oramorph

Anyway, to the lady with the itching I was wondering if you were perhaps taking morphine (oramorph?). I find when I take more than one dose a day I itch like mad, especially around my feet and ankles. I'm on blood pressure tablets and wondered if that might also have something to do with it.

I am on tramadol and oramorph but this still don't help the pain sometimes. Had anyone else experienced anything like this? I am at my wits end with it all now I have had every test going but no-one can find anything.

I was prescribed oramorph...............Anyone any thoughts on this medication?

We can do oramorph, ibuprofen, paracetamols but not meds for secretions. We call the DN to do that. No syringe driver yet. It will go in when ger becomes more agitated. Family all here and taking turns to sit with ger while I rest.

Yesterday he wenr to chemist to pick up meds got home they hadnt put oramorph in frank can walk there with his eyes closed now .But when will i get a Break how many more infections can i cope with

the heart due to the fibrosis recently he has 3 chest infections in the last 2 months and has been admitted to hospital he's now out we went to see the consultant a couple of weeks ago and was told he only had 23% lung function left and prescribed some more medication to make him feel more comftable oramorph

A&E were great to be honest and spoke to the gyne department etc and gave me Some oramorph and tramadol. I had a lap and endo removed at the end of may. Is it possible it's back already?? Has anyone else experienced This?? I'm seeing my specialist tomorrow so hopefully will get some answers.

I am on zomorph and oramorph for pain relief. Xx
