I'm looking 2start reducing just now cos sometimes it gets 2monotomous plus I been taking them for about8yrs and on fentynal patches b4 that
just watch for the side effects opiates can and do bung you up I do know as I am on Buphenonorphrine as prescribed by my pain clinic one thing I liked about the pain clinic doc was he wrote to my respiratory doc first and asked him to ok it first as being a major opiate it may depress breathing all I say to you it is a useful analgesic try it any problems seek advice
Supposedly it reduces anxiety, in cases where anxiety is the reason for shortness of breath. I am aware it makes one sleepy too.
Yes I have been on it since Christmas for anxiety but don't take it every day just when you think when you feel it coming on and have no problems with it as you said it makes you sleepy so I sometimes take before bedtime
what did you think to the community matron? will the community matron visit you again? is the community matron to replace your need to go to gp?
Community nurse is 24 hrs, fully aware of condition and can prescribe.
Complimentary to GP. Visits as often as required..........
Hi
Been using it for sometime 1.25 four times a day. The small doses will not make it addictive.
Can cause constipation, GP can give a Mild laxative.
Can make you feel drowsy if it does avoid driving.
It’s a banned drug for driving , so if you driving is impaired by taken the drug could become a issue.
It doesn’t work for everybody,
Wow what is a commnunity nurse or matron.? Never seen or heard from one since i moved to this area in june. After a long wait saw lung Consultant who is not a pulmonologist and had a breathing test, xray, blood tests maybe 6/8 weeks ago. He told me he would read all paperwork and discuss with his team as no decision on ipf. Heard nothing since nor has my new doctor. Outcome, felt very ill saw doc who said i Was very congested. Put me on doxicillen which didnt work so back to a different doc who tells me i have pneumonia and prescribes clarythamicin which i have just finished.. still no word from consultant and as i say never been referred to a respiritory nurse. It seems different areas have different or no servives.
I only met a community matron at a Hanley Breathe Easy group - haven't come across one in South Cheshire.
