Hi all,

Feel like I want to scream, cry and hit my head against a brick wall all at the same time!

I have finished Clomid 50mg 3rd November (after staring it day 2 of my cycle and taking it for 5 days). Had spotting on day 18 and 19 of my cycle. Day 22 (Saturday) I was in work around 6pm I got a sharp stabbing pain in my right side that much it took my breath away. It isn't continuous but every couple of minutes. I couldn't sleep was in agony normal pain relief not touching it. I took peppermint capsules in case it was trapped wind. Nothing was helping I was in tears (and I never cry because of pain, frustration yes pain no). I phoned 111 (Sunday 4am morning) who advised to go to hospital. I arrived in hospital have been given paracetamol codeine ibrupofen and oramorph as often as possible and it has taken the edge off but the pain is still there.

My bloods have been taken and show slight increase in my white cell count. Negative pregnancy and negative urine infection tests (But I'm not due to do a text until next week so it wouldn't show positive anyway).

I had an ultrasound which lasted no longer than 5 mins, the radiographer didn't scan the area that was hurting and also did not do an internal (which has never happened before) she told me everything was fine.

I mentioned to the consultant that I felt the scan wasn't very detailed therefore she requested another this time internal.. but stated she thought my pain was me ovulating... i was wondering if anyone had experienced this? I am surprised it can be this painful and also that it can go on for soo many days? And also soo many days after I took Clomid?

I am now being sent home as the 2nd scan was refused as the radiographer felt happy with the 1st scan and they are giving me oramorph and telling me to come back in a few days!

So frustrated sorry for the essay thanks in advance!

Holl x

Where is the pain exactly? I’ve been mentioning to a lot of people who have experienced weird pain that it may be their gallbladder (depending where you pain is). I’ve been through a lot to finally get a diagnosis and ended up having mine removed last Monday.

Does eating make it worse at all?

My symptoms were strange. I had pain in my right lower abdomen. Eventually I had pain in my mid back and near my right ribcage. Eating didn’t trigger much until it got much worse.

They did just about every test under the sun and the only thing that showed something was a HIDA scan. Turns out I had chronic cholecystitis.

However, it could be something unrelated. I’ve just been bringing this up to as many people as I can since I had such a rough time with doctors not believing me, thinking I’m there for pain meds, etc.

I hope you figure out what is ailing you.

Lower right side. No nothing makes it's any better or any worse which is strange. It's not constant but it is every couple of mins a sharp stabbing. They aren't sending me home now anyway they are keeping me in because my white cell count has increased so I have had more bloods. But still unsure what it is and feel like because I have endo they are just passing it off as that and not wanting to do any other tests.

They did the same thing to me. Told me it was an endo flare. Food didn’t make mine worse after first but eventually progressed to that. I had to demand to see a surgeon. Multiple times.

Glad they’re looking into it more. Hope you feel better soon and feel free to message me.

Where about is pain? Lower right or higher under ribcage? If it more ribcage area that would mayb b gallbladder but that would show in ultrasound i think... lower right could b anything gynae, cysts fibroids, ovary?

I had same thing in lower left and had loads test even a lap as they thought it was endo but it works out i have pelvic floor problems...

Lower right that's why I have been put under a gynae specialist rather than the surgeons I think. Ultrasound was clear so nothing wrong with my ovaries apparently. I was told by gynae that the surgical team don't think it's my appendix which I think is amazing because I haven't been seen by anyone from the surgical team..
