Pain, pain and more pain and I have had enough!
I know I am feeling sorry for myself, but I can not control the pain, it is making me cry even after
Oramorph
. Nothing is touching the pain.

I took some
oramorph
and went to sleep for a few hours. I woke up and everything is back the way it was and I've been up all night. How can you be this tired and still not able to sleep? I'm sorry. I just wanted to moan, throw my toys out of the pram. tell someone who KNOWS how it feels.

Tulip - thank you, + advice re. pain relief dependence
I don't want to face it really, but i'm using fentanyl patches, codeine,
oramorph
, not because it relieves the pain, relief comes from knocking me out. It scares me. I am addicted now. I know there is no easy way out. Sooner or later, I have an amazing gp, I'm going to have to talk to her.

Still here and fighting the urge!
Pain so intense I have cried and even given
oramorph
because I can't take codeine but I still haven't given in. Why? Because I have never felt so supported as I am at the moment by people I haven't met. So really this just a HUGE thank you

Do I have fibro?
I currently take daily:- 2 x 15mg MSD, 9 x 300mg gabapentin, 1 x 25mg amitriptiline, 3 x 2mg diazepam, 8 x zapain, and I have
oramorph
as a PRN. I was looking on the web for ways to ease my pain, when I came across this site, and so many of my symptoms point to fibro.

Any support greatly received
He has been prescribed
Oramorph
which he reports is not helping. I wondered if anyone has experience something similar but has found something that successfully worked to significantly reduce this?? On a positive note he has been informed that his tumours have shrunk following his chemo.

Visit to GP - Update
I told him that when I take
Oramorph
it actually helps to relieve some of the symptoms and by taking Tramadol it will do the same and sometimes allow me to get a couple of hours sleep. I asked if a referral to a neurologist for RLS and a rheumatologist for Fibromyalgia would be possible please?

Hello - I.m 67 years old with Lupus SLE and am on 10 different tablets some 4 times a day and still on
Oramorph
at night after a major spine opp. did not go as planned and I can not lay down without it. So what difference would ONE more pill a day make ?

CRPS ---- aka ---- CRAPS!
I really don't think this works all the time as I often have to resort to
oramorph
along with regular paracetamol - much more than I should take but who cares? Who cares when pain is your constant? Please someone help me to understand how you cope with your RSD/CRPS. Do you get aid?

Morphine no longer works - next step is...?
Thing is, I was discharged from the pain clinic a few years ago because I managed to reduce my dose to 120mg codeine 4 times a day with
oramorph
for breakthrough pain.

Pain clinic
She's put me back on MST and
oramorph
for the pain but hasn't altered my nerve based medication. She is going to see me again in two months where I fear she will discharge me from the clinic. I feel as though I have been given up on by the pain team.

Lap done!
Only went into surgery at 18:00 last night so landed up being admitted overnight as I needed
oramorph
. Had brilliant tray mentioned from the hospital and such caring staff. Home now and doing well, pain is mild and I'm managing with just paracetamol at the moment.
