Update on my daddy- 8 years stage four
Hello guys! I wanted to give a little update on my dad. He was diagnosed stage four prostate cancer in June 2015, with a PSA of 257 and a single lymph node involved. His prostate was so enlarged at the time that he had to have double nephrostomy bags. He started hormone therapy and chemo immediately

Cancer breakthrough as groundbreaking pill found to ‘kill tumours’

Hi At age 32 I had a triple negative tumour removed (lumpectomy) followed by chemo and radiotherapy. Fast forward 31 years I have just had a mastectomy after I had an oestrogen positive tumour. No chemo needed-phew! The op was 3 weeks ago & I still have a large haematoma that has already been drained

Neuropathy AFTER Chemo: Treatment?
I had 14 docetaxel treatments a little over a year ago with no neuropathy. Approximately two months after completing these 14 treatments, I began to have peripheral neuropathy in my fingertips and a small amount in my toes. The neuropathy is worse at night and has continued (at about the same severity

Recent diagnosis of Ductal Invasive Breast Cancer
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with Ductal Invasive BC on the 11th July 2023. The lump was spotted on a CT scan which I had on the 5th June this year for an unrelated matter. I was lucky that it was picked up. I was referred to the Breast clinic for a mammogram on the 20th June which resulted in several

Q&A from this week's visit with our MO
In case it's helpful, I've written up the questions we asked our medical oncologist this week and posted them in my bio. The upshot of it - my husband will get a PET PSMA scan in August, after which we'll chart a course for what comes next. We're eager to see what if any results occurred from the Ra223

perspective
in 1980 when my dad was diagnosed with pc, I imagined he was dying and carried that in my head for the next nine years. When I was diagnosed with pc stage IVa in 2017 it took me a year to realize I was not dying… and since then I’ve continued to live a very good life. Now I’m facing my psa on the rise

Slight PSA increase
What would you suggest? You see my history in my bio. This June I added a second disease and was diagnosed with testicle lymphoma. Testicle has been removed, all tests (bone biopsy, lumbar puncture, Pet/CT) are clear. So well do four cycles of R-CHOP chemo and doctors are confident, that this will cure

Thank you for all your comments...ive got so many things wrong with me apart from CLL. Ive got spinal stenosis, chiari malformation, heart failure, its just one thing after another. I'm 63. Just really hoping I won't need chemo if this iron infusion works. Thank you all x

Compression fracture on T 10
My recent Whole body scan and CT scan for PCa ( diagnosed in 2016 with T3N0M1, after which I had radiation, chemotherapy and have been on hormone therapy since), showed a compression fracture on my T10 where I had SBRT radiation 2 years ago. My scans earlier in the year also showed a small fracture
