I have been reading everything I can here, but still feel a little terminology and technically lacking. What would be helpful in helping new members is very very basic terms until they get up to speed. I have several questions. I am gleason 8, de novo, lymph node involvement in pelvic region, and one

O2 saturation and chemo
I finish my last does of paxlovis and starting to feel just slightly human. I thought the 4th dose of doxytaxel was horrible but it seems it is largely due to the covid. I ended up spending the whole day in the ER (with travel) for no reason. I has having widely fluctuating O2% and pulse I don't remember

HE4 increasing
Hello All Amazing Women! My sister had a full debulking in July along with chemo after and is now on maintenance with an Oliparb drug and Avastin infusions every 3 weeks. She had a PET and CT scan after her chemo was completed and they were both clear. She’s feeling great and her CA125 has been at 9

Update on my father. Triplet therapy?
After my last post, my father underwent spinal cord decompression surgery - they did laminectomy and partial corpectomy of the fractured vertebrae and did pedicular screw fixation to stabilize the spine. It's been 2 weeks since surgery and he is prescribed bed rest for 4-6 weeks. After 1-2 more weeks

Chemo (Docetaxel) with Prednisone
Hi all, Zytiga stopped working for me and I am castrate-resistant. After a failed clinical trial (immunotherapy) I started Docetaxel 2 weeks ago and was prescribed Prednisone (5mg twice per day). I seem to be very sensitive to the Prednisone....having trouble sleeping, feeling anxious, etc. even when

Order of Pluvicto (Lu-177) vs. cabazitaxel/carboplatin chemo?
If there weren’t a supply chain shortage of Pluvicto my question is: Is there any scientific evidence for which order the treatments should be done? Did the Vision trial suggest anything? Thanks everyone.

visiting with a sore throat
Hi My mum’s treatment has been tricky so she is in hospital and had one round of chemo (carboplatin on 2ndJan). I had planned to visit her this week, tomorrow (9th) but today I’ve woken with a very sore throat. Do you think it’s best to stay away given where she is in the 21 day cycle.I’ve heard she

Started Triplet Therapy this week, new doc, new (better) treatment plan!
Started triplet therapy this week with first dose of NUBEQA on Wednesday and Docetaxel yesterday afternoon at City of Hope in Duarte, CA. "Fired" my local general oncologist whose plan was Xtandi, radiation, and Xgeva for me. She was against chemo in my case since the mets weren’t in organs. Contrast

post chemo radiation initial scan
Hello everyone , had my post treatment scan done on the 30th dec and yesterday was the review meeting with oncologist… they said that this scan was a very early one ( only 3 weeks post treatment ) but they needed it because of the potential for immunotherapy that needs to be started within 43 days

Chemotherapy for pv
Hi everyone, I am a 66 year old man and have suffered with polycythaemia vera for the past 7 years. Over the last year my bloods have been up and down and not very stable. Before Christmas it was suggested that I have a bone marrow biopsy and have just received the results. Apparently I have 7% leukaemia

Low Dose Chemo
The Cancer Center for Healing in Irving CA offers Insulin Potentiation Therapy. They accept no insurance, so out of pocket expenses. Their web site is quite informative.

Preparations afoot for my stem cell transplant
I've finally got dates for my sct. I have a CT scan next week in preparation for radiotherapy to shrink my spleen . That will be followed by 6 days of radiotherapy as an out patient then 24 Jan I get admitted and start chemo. Donor cells getting infused a few days later. I knew all along this was going

Quality of Life: What are your favorite "vices".
I think we all look for some normalcy in our journey. I'm searching for a vice compatible with cancer care....maybe it's the bad boy in me. I'm on a pain patch so alcohol is out. I'd be crazy to smoke (tobacco) given my cardiac profile. Sex is, well complicated--depending on current treatments. Gambling

Chemo, Liver Enzymes, and Working Out
Today I went in for cycle 3 of my 6 rounds of Decetaxel. I got my bloods taken yesterday and when I got there the nurse said my liver enzyme readings were high so they wanted to re-check them.
