At age 32 I had a triple negative tumour removed (lumpectomy) followed by chemo and radiotherapy.
Fast forward 31 years I have just had a mastectomy after I had an oestrogen positive tumour. No chemo needed-phew! The op was 3 weeks ago & I still have a large haematoma that has already been drained but needs draining again today…

So sorry that your cancer has come back and really glad that surgery is working and you do not need chemo. All the best in your recovery and take care.
My first thought is..."how unfair." I hate that cancer cells can stay hidden in our bodies and reappear when we least expect it. The only good thing is that we are strong women and know how to deal with it. We just do what we have to do and "keep on keeping on." You've got this and we've got your back. Hugs.
Greeting: 😇 Sister/Warrior. Your testimony is amazing. You were so young when you had your first breast cancer diagnosis, and 31 years later a second diagnosis', with no need for chemo treatment😀. You are truly blessed . I hope/pray you can go another 30 plus years cancer freeeee. Amen
Can I assume the two cancers are unrelated since the first was tnbc and now you have a oestregen positive? I ask because I started with tnbc. Although I went the bilateral mastectomy and chemo road. So far I remain "free" I know it has a higher rate of coming back. I'm sorry to hear you have to deal with this again. Cancer really stinks. Sending well wishes your way.
Hi. I can totally relate to this. I had stage 2 cancer, mastectomy, chemo and radiotherapy just short of 29yrs ago at 33yrs old. No idea what type as this was not done in New Zealand at the time. Specialist feels it would very likely have been triple neg as was aggressive. Fast forward to 2023, I have a new primary, HER2 negative, hormone positive diagnosis. Has partial mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy. Nodes clear. Tumour grade 2. Now on arimadex and planning radiotherapy once I get back from a trip to India.
Hang in there, I know it's tough, we both thought we were clear. Keep positive. I do lots of meditation, relaxation and have just re-read Bernie Seigels book Love, Medicine and Miracles. Was my savior all those years ago.
