Starting again after cancer....

So, graduation day was Feb 24, 2020. After which I ran and ran, got up to 3 half marathons.

This January - diagnosis of cancer.

Now it's almost August, and I have completed my treatments of Chemo and Radiotherapy.

I am down to 12 stone from 14+.

I am also still weak as a kitten, suffering from fatigue and only just starting to eat solid foods again. (Almost up to 1200 calories a day!)

Time to come back to Laura and the C25K program... :)

I know it will be hard, but I am really looking forward to it.

Wish me luck folks. Day 1 will be tomorrow...

Welcome back and wishing you buckets of luck! Just take it steady and listen to your body. If you find you need a slower build, that absolutely fine. Even be able to stand on this new starting line is a massive achievement after all you’ve been through. You have loads of virtual run buddies here to cheer you on.

Massive respect to you. Of course you can do it but be kind to yourself and if it doesn’t feel right yet then just wait a little longer. Let us know how you get on.

Been there, done that! I’m with you all the way.

Best of luck, take it steady, (that is, slow and steady), and take as long as you like.

I would only suggest making sure you eat healthily and drink lots of water, and make sure you take those rest days!

Good luck
