I had covid in June (see reply to Wonderwoman post for grisly details) but I am now caught up in a bureaucratic nightmare and am seeking advice.
I am still testing positive with PCR tests and Test and Trace say you shouldn’t do a PCR test for 90 day following a positive test, as you can still get a positive reaction although you are no longer infectious.
However my Oncology unit won’t allow me to resume my Breast cancer treatment (I have BC and CLL) until I can provide a negative PCR test and they want me to do a test every 2 weeks; this I totally understand.
The issue is that every time I do a PCR test and it is positive, I get a 10 day mandatory isolation order from T&T and it’s a legal requirement!!
I’ve tried ringing 119, multiple times, for advice and help and told the hospital of the dilemma but I’m getting no resolution.
What if I just decided to break the law? I do the tests but then ignore the 10 day order. I’m not a danger to society as I’m not infectious and I feel I’ve ’done my time’ through lockdowns and isolations. As a CLL patient we have been through enough and this is purely a bureaucratic hoop that I am expected to jump through and the only person disadvantaged/harmed is me.
Thoughts please
