As a teenager/young adult, I suffered with really bad acne and still have the occasional breakout now and again. I'm now 30, and I'm left with acne scarring, a redness that won't go away, and dry skin issues. I have attached a collage of images demonstrating what I mean, which shows both sides of my face, a frontal shot, and a shot of my forehead. My forehead doesn't look so bad on this picture, but it can get REALLY red and just horrible to look at some days.
I think, for me, I'm most conscious of the redness and the general "ugly" look my skin has. What are your recommendations to help treat this so I have a clear face? It's had a constant toll on my self-esteem, and I want to finally be comfortable in my own skin.
Thank you.

I am vexed for you as your skin is affecting your self esteem. Have you seen a dermatologist at all? It sounds as if you should be prescribed a simple antibacterial moisturiser such as Dermol, which you can also use as a soap substitute.
Evening primrose oil capsules may help also vitamin e - the natural form should help just a 200iu capsule per day Evening primrose oil is available in most supermarkets take 2 x 1000mg capsules per day
Similar to your skin I’m having this issue and it has caused me a lot more stress then my usual level of anxiety, doc put me on Lymecycline all virtual now with photos so hope I got the right antibiotic and also duac so I am using both, been 2 weeks so far no miracles. Good luck I know how much it can knock confidence.
