Post Op Clinic today
I just wanted to update folks on my progress. I've been to Papworth this afternoon for clinic, my surgery was 9 1/2 weeks ago. Whilst it was a bit of a production line process they did an ECG, Chest X-Ray and checked my Stats. Since I've been home , about 2 hours after leaving clinic, I've been asked

Breathlessness when walking up slight gradients/stairs
Further to my previous post about breathlessness, I finally had an audience with the Pope, masquerading as my GP (my he's aged a lot since the last time I saw him - mind you, haven't we all. My goal was to get a Acth test arranged, as I'm convinced my problem is adrenal related and I'm concerned about

2 week Holter moniter
does anyone know how a two-week ECG monitor is different to a 24 hour monitor - in terms of the different wearable device? I have previously had a 24-hour ECG, but I have just seen someone during my echocardiogram and they mentioned that a two week monitor is a different device.

Hello all, I got my BFP yesterday at 4 weeks (9dp5dt) and when I called my nurse to let her know she offered a blood test for the same day. I got the result this morning and my hcg is only 20. She also measured my progesterone. The day before transfer it was 182, yesterday it was 44.5. I am already

ECG interpretation
Hi all, I recently bought the Getwellue ECG 24h device and I'm starting to use it. How would you interpret the circled area of the ecg picture which I recorded during sleep? Is it just an isolated faster heart rhythm and then going back to 50 beats/min, which is my resting rate? The device software is

bleeding :-( freaking out
I recently had a BFP with strong hcg numbers. I am 5+3 today and felt a funny feeling, like a bit of stomach ache but as if I’ve eaten something funny, not pain as such. I went to the toilet to find red blood 😞 Sorry for TMI but it was a quite a bit when I wiped and now a few drops on my pad. I have

Apologize if this is an un educated question. But the first 5 Or 6 seconds The EKG looks like It's very irregular or salt tooth looking. But then when my pulse Kicks in, it goes normal. Does anyone else get this?

CT Scan Results
Hello again. Just had my CT scan results back and amazingly it says I do not have angina! The results show no coronary plaque identified, but minor aortic valve calcification noted. It also noted my lungs appear fine, but they do note slightly patulous oesophagus - what does this mean? So this is

How to cope when appointments are so delayed.
I have SLE and am under cardiology for investigation due to tachycardia. My Rheumatologists think it may be PoTS. The cardiologists have done loads of tests but are yet to give a diagnosis. Unfortunately the cardiology waiting lists are huge (took 50 weeks on the urgent lists to even be seen after

Minoca heart attack
Hi there, I am new to this world but would be grateful for some insight to help my mum. A week ago mum was admitted to hospital for what they are saying is Minoca. ECG and troponin levels showed this, and subsequent angiogram 4 days later showed no obstructions etc. Dr cardiologist discharged mum saying

a story about NHS blindness to T3
this story is almost incredible but sadly believable. I’ve been dividing my afternoon T3 into two doses and got confused. I ended up taking an extra 5mcg by mistake. My heart rate shot up, I panicked and went to A&E in case it got worse. They were brilliant. Blood test, ECG, cup of tea.

Apple Watch
Curious to hear from anyone using an Apple Watch ECG app to monitor afib. On mine I can get a reading saying afib and then immediately measure again and get sinus. I recently started taking Dofetilide, so maybe the medication is helping to resolve afib episodes. Any thoughts on how accurate Apple Watch

AV Node Ablation and Pacemaker
Hi lovely people, I promised I’d get back to you after seeing a cardiologist/electrophysiologist privately. As you might guess from the title, this is what he believes will solve my problem. I will still be in persistent Afib, but won’t feel it. In the meantime he has doubled my digoxin dose and I will

6 weeks 6 days scan - sac but no yolk or fetal pole
I know this is bad news. I have a intact sac measuring 16.9mm (6 weeks), but no yolk or fetal pole. I feel nauseous from the HCG from the sac. I have to repeat the scan in 1 week to confirm the pregnancy isn't viable. I know this is bad news, but I can't give up hope until I have to. Hoping for a
