Can normal people get hypoglycemia
I'm diabetic now, but many years ago, I don't know if I had had diabetes or not, but one thing for sure is, I had not taken any diabetes or sugar lowering medicines then One day I felt my heart was getting stung, only for a moment, no heavy breathing, normal blood pressure, but pulse a lot faster and

Heart Rate app on iPhone, any recommendations please?
7 days post AVR and doing well. One day out of Hospital and unsurprisingly feel a little vulnerable without all the monitors. I do have blood pressure monitor and a Kardia for ECG but wondering if any of the apps on measuring heart rate are any good? Any feedback most welcome.

When to take PIP flecainide?
Unfortunately my paroxysmal AF has significantly worsened lately and I am awaiting an ablation. In the meantime my consultant has put me back on flecainide 50mg bi daily plus an additional up to 100mg as PIP if AF kicks in. I’m now in AF almost every week for a few hours. Before it starts I frequently

Breathlessness / Endo or hormones?
Hi all , it’s been 3 months now since having the mirena coil taken out I’m really struggling with breathlessness ( along side feeling extremely weak and zero energy ) Does anyone else struggle with breathlessness ? Is it a symptom of endometriosis or could it be caused by low hormone levels ?

My GP to do annual AF tests to detect asymptomatic patients
I've just had a letter from my local surgery saying following my suggestion they will now take the pulse of people who attend for annual exams (blood pressure, diabetes etc) to see if they are asymptomatic AF sufferers. A positive result to then be referred for ECG etc. A small victory.

Unconfirmed ECG
To be clear, I'm also involved with the doctors on this! I had an ECG due to occasional palpitations and ectopic beats, which came back as 'normal sinus rhythm, possible septal infarct, QS in V1 V2, low QRS in voltage in precordial leads', unconfirmed interpretation. I made the mistake of Googling

Abnormal ECG
So the arrhythmia team contacted me yesterday to discuss the result of my ECG done at my local surgery . Apparently although the test showed an an abnormal pattern with wide QRS it was a minimal deviation and not any form of AF . It could be an age related change but my sinus rhythm was normal and the

Treatment uncertainty
Following an ECG which unexpectedly showed I had AF, I was prescribed 5mg Apixaban twice daily. I have been taking these for 9 weeks and in that time I have suffered 13 severe headaches and almost as many mild headaches. Treatment started at about the same time as the hay fever season and I thought

PVC’ getting worse
4 years ago I passed out and my Apple Watch showed a flat line. I felt a gurgling in my chest and did an ecg on it and as I passed out it picked up a straight line. Hit my head and was unconscious so rushed to hospital. Did loads of tests and scans and was referred to Papworth. Put it down as vasavagal

just wondering if any of you have had problems controlling atrial flutter (mine is atypical). Most posts I read are about atrial fibrillation. I had an incomplete and unsuccessful ablation in March, for typical flutter, but recently my symptoms are increasingly worse. I am troubled by a constant fast

Update
Well I had my ECG at the surgery today and the report shows a result with a few issues that included abnormal left axis deviation and non specific st abnormality amongst others. Obviously this is all gobbledygook to me but the first time since I was diagnosed with AF that I’ve had an abnormal ECG .
