A Hospital admission and another failed attempt at a CT Angiogram 😥
Hello All, It's me again. I apologise for posting so regularly in the last few weeks. It's been an eventful week 😕 I was admitted to the hospital on Saturday night. I had chest pain, left arm pain and a very high heart rate. I panicked and called an ambulance. I was told it could be a 40 minutes

Exhausted but happy.
I spent seven hours at the lung transplant clinic at Harefield yesterday. I was weighed and measured many times, sometimes with boots (dockers!) on sometimes off, ECG, echocardiogram, chest xray, blood tests, blood pressure test, lung function test, urine test, and finally mrsa test! Everone

In Praise of the NHS
I've been suffering from indigestion for a few weeks, I was diagnosed with angina 10 years ago and had a HA resulting in 2 stents being fitted 19 months ago.......as you can guess the indigestion feeling sent alarm bells ringing, when I had my HA I thought it was indigestion. I phoned our surgery

BFP 9dp5dt but more faint line next evening
hi ladies, I know I shouldn’t have but I decided to test yesterday morning, as had a good feeling I would get a positive, following what I believe was implantation bleeding last Wednesday. My OTD is Wednesday (29th). The line indicating a positive result came up pretty much straight away and was very

Sensitive: is ectopic 'vanishingly rare' with IVF?
Thank you to everyone who has been so kind with their advice and checking in. I spent a long time at the EPU today with a pretty confusing outcome - the nurse who scanned me said there was a gestational sac but nothing else, and that my right ovary that she could see looked fine, no cysts etc. Definitely

Kardio Mobile ECG
Does anyone have experience of using this device and app to detect AF and has it proved useful? I am thinking of purchasing this but would like to know what other folk think of it. Only recently diagnosed and finding it very worrisome. Any advice would be appreciated.

Had an event in August when I felt very unwell, did not pass out but had to get paramedics to attend. Ecg diagnosed AF and heart block.Since then no further events. Had echocardiogram, all normal. Had a mobile Holter monitor for 7 days , no abnormalities shown. Am now waiting for an implantable monitor

Myocarditis aged 18 with troponin levels of 15000
Hello. my 18 year old daughter started with what we thought was Strep (sore throat and raised temperature) on the 2nd of Jan. Two days later we had to take her to A and E as she was suffering from chest pains and her heart was racing. In A and E she tested positive for flu and her Troponin levels were

Carbimazole side effects
My husband was prescribed Carbimazole 5 weeks ago. Since taking it has been taken a toll on him. Seeing a 58 year old slowly unfolding into an 80 year old. Can't eat/sleep, permanently cold and wears 4 layers plus heating on and still cold. GP (not his usual) contacted and said oh it's flu. I went into

My TMS journey, another update...
Hello all, i'm down to two sessions a week and I had a relapse this last weekend and am bumbed about it to say the least. I'm not sure if it is due to the TMS but doubt it and I have an appointment Monday with the psychologist/clinic director on Monday to discuss it. I am also on TRT (testosterone

*update* Sensitive: HCG plateaued and clinic not offering any help
As everyone has been so supportive and helpful a quick but rather sad update: went for a private scan today and they couldn't see anything like a viable pregnancy - just a mass of what they called septations (no idea), possibly a haematoma and fluid. They couldn't see the tubes and only one ovary (with

Junctional Rhythm
I have had Paroxysmal Afib since 2017, and take Warfarin and Bisoprolol ( now been 5mgs twice daily for a year ). No other drugs. I have been having a lot of unclassified results on my Kardia lately. A few is normal and I always thought it was interference or similar, or me not being still enough. However

Breakthrough episode (Update)
My EP only put me on a miniscule dosage of sotalol as I was doing it out of hospital and couldn't be directly monitored (40mg twice a day). I feel 1000 times better, no kidding, since starting the sotalol even at this low dose. No more daily PVCs, no more extreme fatigue. After checking my QTC to

5+4 weeks with tested embryo and good HCG results but terrified for viability scan
Hi all, I'm newly pregnant (currently 5.4 weeks). I've had two good HCG blood test results, the first was >700 at 12dp6dt and the second was >1800 at 14dpt. My clinic says these are good numbers and don't recommend I test again, but I'm already struggling with the wait for the viability scan. I'm terrified

Living with presumed myocarditis which turned out to be MI
Sorry for this long post. I couldn't think how to make it shorter. I've found it hugely helpful to read the posts on this forum so I thought I'd reach out to seek some support and wisdom. My husband was fit and active (we enjoyed leisure cycling 15-20 miles, walking, gardening etc) until Oct '21. A

I will try and keep this short. Some of you will remember my endless delays for a follow up cancer op. Well I got that op in December 22. I was sent for by consultant who apologised for the delays and said I had to go on BCG which is -Immunotherapy drugs encourage the body's immune system to
